Hi, a new pc build is happening. It is cost/performance oriented build. Budged 500-600Eur with monitor.
On board graphics will be used for few month. (or 8800gt from other pc)

it will be used for Webinars (web-seminars with 720-1080p stream) word/powerpoint presentation, general use.
gaming probably in 2-3 month with 960(nvidia)-280x(amd) lvl graphics card.
OC not needed.

what it will have: 120-128 ssd, (no advice needed)
hdd 1 TB (dsnt matter)
6100 - Skylake processor (decided)
2x4 or 1x8 Gb ram ddr3/4 depens on MB.

i would like this build to have Z-170, but no oc will be used here. Since motherboard isn't my strong side, advice's needed and appreciated. Need reliable mb, give options from cheapest to like 100eur i can use with 6100.
Psu not all units available here, but 500-600w at most. Can give few suggestions ill look at prices. i could settle on smthg like 520w seasonic.

case,cooling will figure it out.
use my evo 212 or get another one.

Monitor 1920x1080p probably IPS/19-22 size.

shops i will buy from,
www.skytech.lt
www.kilobaitas.lt
but you can give me suggestion from uk/us shops ill look prices in here.

i know a thing or 2 about pc, so i only need advice on
MB+Monitor+psu.
thx

PSU: EVGA 500B PSU Best value around and a great PSU (There is a 600watt version if you want)!
MB: Try the MSI B150 Night Elf (Decent price, good reliability from MSI IMHO, and cool looking)
Monitor: Asus VX229h 21.5 (Heard great things about this one, seems to be a pretty decent monitor)

thx @GhostRyder , i was checking same monitor at the time, its a little pricy 145Eur here, monitor is not too important at the moment i mean it is not the most important part. so 25%/ of a budget...
it's is possible monitor will be downgraded to 19" led, but i hope not. not my money not my decision just advices....
how this evga going vs seasonic s12II-520 80 bronze? it's about 10 eur difference but we have both in shop.
damn, night elf looks beautiful its 93 eur, and z type cost like 10-15 eur more. but i think really worth considering

@ASOT you monitor suggestion is available and actually ok i will consider it,
edit: oh its led gaming monitor, gaming monitor is not priority now. its more work related. but It is for 2 persons, one work related another some gaming in few month.

psu 20-40 eur more expensive even seasoninc 600+ is 20 eur cheaper.
motherboard i was thinking about msi mate, the only difference i see is one more pci-e lane, i like it but, night elf has some better features at least looks like it

edit: ok ill try to make some list with parts decided and suggested so we can see the budged here :)

Eh, as for the PSU Seasonic vs EVGA I would say the Seasonic would probably be slightly better overall but not enough that I would say spend the extra money. Guess it would come down to an opinion in the end even considering the different OEM's.

Yea, the Night Elf looks great and seems to have a lot of nice features for the money. That's why I thought it would fit in nicely with that processor choice.

you got it wrong :) evga is cheaper here the model u provided :)
Error on my part, meant to say the Seasonic. But its mostly an opinon as Ithink both are going to be equally good at the end of the day so I would get whichever is cheaper.

The build isn't for you though. The OP said no overclocking. I read carefully and your first post didn't mention a reason for choosing it...

... but NOW that you mention overclocking in the future, it IS something for the OP to consider. I wouldn't overclock much on those boards you selected though... there is only like 3 phases for the CPU on them... for the same price as the MSI board, I would choose the MSI Z170 SLI PLUS - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130900&cm_re=z170-_-13-130-900-_-Product

ok, i wrote with a different intention, @EarthDog and @ASOT , this pc is going to be used by 2 ppl, first of all its business related, my mother is primary user, i spend 1,5 eur 8 years ago on my pc (system ps spec) for fun :) this is different.

probably ill use
probably ill useProbably ill use
probably
Probably i will use this system too. But no need to go to high end stuff with oc and other things.... i know some of that stuff and build would be more of a 6600k+z170.+970gtx and some curved monitor, but its not like that.

probably i will use this new system too,
difference between b night elf and z170 is 20-30eur big in price but this build will not have sli, high end cooling, best ram and 980 ti:) not my money, not my usage, i will be happy if i could put some dedicated gpu later and use that pc :) i was trying to put some list of components maybe it'll help

Dear LORD... no Cheiftec PSUs.... wow.

He also mentioned that he isn't overclocking so Z170 is overkill.

i use 650w chieftek psu for 8 years and it was one of a better units available at the time (2008) still working on my main pc system specs :) so im happy with it :)

@EarthDog still have few mb to choose from, but night elf really have my attention.

Im glad it worked for you.. however, it is well know that Cheiftec PSUs are garbage and to avoid them. Period.

Really, since you are not overclocking, the motherboard choice doesn't matter much. Just make sure it has the features you need, the look you want, at the price point you need it to be at. Don't overcomplicate the choice.

Also, you can edit your posts instead of double posting. :)

i could edit, instead of double post, i agree.
just thought, not too many response and we figured together about 90% of the questions in about 20 post :) and probably ill have those parts less then a week, so this thread should be over in few days :) thx earthdog and thx ghostryder.

p.s. you have some nice hw @EarthDog , even my new build looks like a side kick

edit: edited my posts, so it looks cleaner now :)

UPDATE: Guys being with Techpowerup.com for about 8 years I'm really happy, it have paid of. That a new build is working. Basically I had some problems with a cooler (about 5 min and 1 disconnect shorted something connecting another fan while system was working) other than that win 10 install, all fans, drivers, audio, usb's working from the first time!!!
It is only 2nd build in my life where I connected all the parts and even I have enough knowledge I have little practice. I selected parts for 3 of my pc's and few others but build myself only 2.

Full system description is:
same as above, just changed

ssd to: Kingston 240 GB hyperX fury 500/500 just 3EUR more.

missed the part that i3-6100 comes with intel cooler, so added second cooler master evo 212 in my house. ( first cooling e8400@3.5)

case by lucky mistake arrived with red colours and I was really happy with it:) it has 2 red coolers and msi night elf MB shines with some red led logos in it .

So basically all build is red/black it wasn't a plan to make it color aware but its actually looking pretty good.
ill add some pictures later, I know you like that stuff.

Possible addition to this pc in 1-2 month: (500GB-1TB HDD) or another 120-240 ssd.
750ti-760-960gtx/ 270--380-280x GPU. maybe even slower, but still have 8800GT so missed a lot of games in 5-6 years.

thx again for @GhostRyder for suggesting a MB. and @EarthDog and all other who helped me here.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS with new system:

i would say is very very nice,

youtube is not lagging anymore even with 4k video and some music in the background (100/100Mbps optical internet).

system is really responsive ( i have w10 + ssd in other too)

IPS of course looks much better , another monitor 1650x1080 lcd.
System is very quiet for my taste, (dvd-rw noisiest part 10eur cheapo)

looks like it will do very well for what it is intendet and some more :)
