Logitech G Unveils Two Cherry Mechanical Gaming Keyboards

Bah, would be 100% more interested if it was with their own switches.

Maybe, but after 35 years tradition as best switches.
Cherry MX are founded in period where humans sit and work months and years to found best way to something work long and it's very hard in period where manufacturers search for cheaper materials and cheaper ways to invent something better than Cherry MX. They almost stop production of PBT switches because ABS is cheaper solution. In era of such philosophy it's very hard to some real quality show up.

They are not the best no more, people keep on with them being the best due to the passed and they are now were near as good as they used to be, and don't give me the crap they make them the same as they did back when.

And their surly not as good as the ones you find on the good old micro switch keyboards.

Probably they don't make from same alloy, special if they arrive from China. Look only plastic on Omron from Japan and Omron China.
Same is with everything. But mechanism is same and that's important and best if manufacturer use German Cherry MX. And it's very hard to tomorrow show up some more durable mechanism with better plastic alloy. Only could be cheaper and unproven and after few similar experiements 2-3 manufacturers back on Cherry MX. Because they have no time to sit and work and improve products. Better to launch every year something new with agresive advertising and to throw in garbage for 2 years.

If they were making them how they did back in the 90's their be no need to improve them. There's that claim again Cherry are the best, was only yesterday i was trying to fix a Cherry MX blue switch and got it 1/2 working again but could not get it to start clicking like it used too plastic is different than it used to be.

Why do all these mechanical keyboards missing arm resting plate, something like on G15s or G19s? I dont get it, without it looks so uncomfortable.

Because today you can buy more comfortable wrist rest from leader or skin or rubber for 15-20$.
In different side. Personally I don't use wrist rest.

I was in the market for this 5 years ago. What took Logitech so long long to realize this market?

Instead they cranked out a lot of blingy keyboards with 200 buttons and funky angles like a transformer.
