"NO SIGNAL" on G2460PG

So, today I've bought AOC G2460PG monitor, and the problem is that it doesn't show any display....
I mean, when I plug in DP cable to Monitor and PC, all it says is "No Signal". I've tried turning it off from power supply, waiting couple minutes and turning it back on, but it still doesn't work. I've checked cables, and I am 100% sure that they are all the way in the ports. Turning monitor on after turning on PC doesn't work as well.
Since G2460PG doesn't have HDMI ports, I can't check if the problem is with my GPU or with something else, because all my family members have Notebooks, and they don't have any DP.
Tomorrow I will try to get myself DP-to-HDMI adapter, and try turn to on monitor from HDMI port, since I have only one DP port I can't really test out if its the only port that is fkin me up (I've seen some solutions, they say that you need to just change DP port, and that's it)

By the way, I need you to know that my GPU's fan makes noise (I have no idea why, I already cleaned it up, but it didn't work), oh and my old monitor turned off after ~5-10 minutes since I turned PC on (light was blinking like PC is in Sleep mode, when I pressed "Menu" button on monitor, it said "Test Good" or something like that, but I thought that I need to change monitor, because it was really old, whenever I set >25 brightness - it turned off)

I have the same monitor, i had that issue two times but every time was my GPU faulty that dont output the signal from display port.

It was never the monitor.

Try with another GPU, or try with the DP port on your motherboard if you have an i7 CPU with integrated graphics.

Hi every1, thanks for the replies.
So the problem is kinda solved > my GPU died

I got my old monitor (the one I thought died already) and plugged it into the Motherboard VGA input, and guess what? Monitor came back to life lol. So appearently my GPU was not outputting the signal, like Animalpak said, but unfortunately my motherboard does not have DP input, and ofcourse the worst thing is - that my integrated GPU is obviously Intel HD Graphics...

Now I want to ask you what GPU should I buy? (in range ~400$) It obviously needs to be Nvidia (since I have new monitor AOC with G-Sync).

GTX 970, but maybe you should wait for the new Nvidia GPUs then. I guess that'd be smarter.

What do you mean by "New Nvidia GPUs"?
Oh and btw, idk how, but my GPU is revived by someone from the IT Heaven. I just started PC with old monitor on Intel HD Graphics, and I saw NVidia control panel when pressing RMB on desktop, then I checked with MSI Afterburner that my GPU is up and running, so I took my new monitor and now I'm sitting here like some rich ass gamer with 2 monitors

New NV GPUs will be launched early June. Glad your system works again. Hardware can be strange at times.

Btw, I wanted to ask, what's the difference between let's say MSI, Asus, Gigabyte or Evga, etc..

Some of them are louder, or cards get hotter also clocks of the (same) GPUs are different. Power consumption varies too somewhat, but not much normally.

For me it's: MSI > EVGA > Asus > GB btw.

"Should be""

My preference is
1.MSI
2.Asus
3.EVGA
4.Zotac

What is more affordable and with no reference cooler
