InnoVISION Multimedia Limited, a leading manufacturer of high-end hardware components and computer utilities, introduces its new iChiLL air cooling solution built for the high end graphics cards to be launched this year. Built around 3 large 92mm super silent fans and optionally complemented by a 4th 50mm fan, the A.P.C.S. design optimizes the heat dissipation via its integrated heat-pipes and 123 aluminum cooling fins.

As a result of years of technological progress and expertise have brought the iChiLL brand to a point that we can make a difference for the high-end gamer and design creation professional achieving high performance, outstanding temperature control and at super silent noise levels.

"Heat production has been the major drawback for high end graphics cards and we have found ways to further optimize and improve our overall top solution under our iChiLL label and built to bring out the best of NVIDIA's consumer products." says Ken Wong, Product Manager at Inno3D. "And the beauty of it is that the new release of our iChiLL products does not increase cost nor will it increase our MSRP for the end customer."

The iChiLL line-up will come in two models; the X3 model (3 fans) is built with Scythe fan blades for silent operation and the X4 model (4 fans) is built with 15 turbine blades for extra cooling performance operation. Both models will become available on the Inno3D next gen custom built graphics card solutions, coming out in the near future.

Wait, so this is for people who'll buy the founders edition, right? Do they think that people will just rip off their 100$ extra founders edition stock cooler to replace it with this?

The article says it will not raise cost. This implies that this company sells to hardware MFGs not direct sales. Thus this will be sold in lue of the stock cooler.

This isn't something to replace your blower-cooler with..
It's just their own custom version (like MSI has the TwinFrozr and Asus has the Strix & DirectCU versions).

Link to their product page where you can see some of their ichill X3 & X4 coolers on 900 series:
http://www.inno3d.com/products.php?refid=1&subid=18

Saying it will not cost more just means that it'll cost the same as the MSRP. Often you see a $10-30 extra cost for these custom ones. (So it'll be $100 cheaper than the founders edition, not $70-90 that some other models will cost).

i don't hear good users reviews on Inno3d custom cooling solutions
Really? The Inno3D coolers are basically the same as the Zotac AMP! Extreme and Sapphire's Tri-X. Hardly surprising since Inno3D is a brand of PC Partner who also own Sapphire and Zotac

I don't quite understand the construction of this cooling. Is there a tiny fan from the side that cools those heatpipes and the backplate?

I had Inno3D GeForce 4200Ti in the past, but that was the only Inno I've ever owned. Is iChill any good in general?

Yes there is a side fan. It's effectiveness is - I suspect - more visual marketing than cooling orientated

Here's the X4 review. There is also a more standard X3 iChill, and of course the Arctic Cooling Hybrid iChill

Even though noise wasn't any lower, but considering the temperatures, you could make it quieter and sacrificing some temperature, getting it as warm as the rest of cards, but a lot quieter. Pretty impressive cooler I must say. Will be keeping an eye on Inno3D from now on.

Actually no prices are confirmed for custom cards, only partner editions of the reference card.
