GIGABYTE Announces the GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming

Hah, not sure if that's a very clever answer, or a subtle indication that the price will be more expensive than the others.

Our R&D team is busy making a good product
I like that answer, it implies the others merely slapped on an A.I.O. cooler and hoped for the best, which probably isn't far from the truth.

Keep in mind, they already released a product under the Waterforce badge, which was the 980TI. The new one will not be much different.

I believe what he is referring to are the changes/improvements they are doing specifically for the 1080.

Come on Gig rep..we should not be beating you to posting this type of stuff.

Concerned about the natural flow direction of the cables here. It looks like it's connected in a way that forces you to mount the radiator to the inside of the case rather than the fan.
This was the problem wit hthe 980 TI version, and why we had to unhook the fan and put it to the opposite of the radiator, then mount it to the case.

Gig rep, can you comment on whether it will be possible to mount the fan to the case in it's default configuration?

Problem? Nobody forces anybody to take the fan off and turn it the wrong way around.
As it is, it is mounted correctly to push air through the radiator and out of the case.

The 980 TI model had little fan cable slack, which was coiled up inside the case/shroud. In order to fit the fan to the other side of the radiator, you had to take off the card's cover, snip one of the zipties, gently unwind the slack (because the other end of the fan is a simple solder job instead of a standard pin plug!) and finally pull the fan cable loose from the notches in the fan housing (in order to get more cable run). Only then could you stretch the fan around and mount it to the proper side of the radiator.

All of this had to be done out of the box, in order to get the proper performance.

Intake warm air from within case produced higher temperatures than intaking clean air from outside the case.

Considering the G1 Gaming is already listed at the equivalent of $777 (with 5% sales tax) in Taiwan, it's likely that this will be a stupidly expensive card. http://24h.pchome.com.tw/prod/DRAD9X-A9007A261?q=/S/DRAD9X

I just picked up the bundle on Newegg for $699. Same price as the founders edition.. It is a badass priced card for all the stuff you get in it.. It craps over the EVGA FTW in specs, parts, clocks and accessories. FTW is clean looking tho i give it that, but not available lol
