AMD Radeon add-in board (AIB) partner VTX3D announced that it has ceased operations. A subsidiary of TUL, which also owns the more popular PowerColor brand, VTX3D primarily targeted the APAC and EMEAI markets, and most of its products had a distinct PowerColor signature on their design and build-quality. This is because both brands were manufactured at TUL, a major PCB contract-manufacturing foundry. Following its demise, VTX3D announced that its sister-brand PowerColor will honor warranty and RMA services for existing owners of VTX3D products.

Sad to see them go... The last company to put pictures if Ruby on their products.:(
I still have a set of VTX HD7950s with the gold boxes...

The only AIB too still use Ruby :(

Shame but I'm surprised this didn't happen years ago, the British car industry (RIP) proved that one company with multiple divisions all designing variants of the same product then competing with each other for market place was a stupid business model.

sorry for being stupid and young but what is ruby all about?

AMD's mascot.

Eh. Its not like VTX3D mattered much.
Just another TUL brand. Nothing important really ceases in my books.
Powercolor will continue in areas VTX3D left to make PowerColor's brand stronger

VTX3D, at least in my part of the world, kept up stocks for last-gen cards for far longer than the other AIB partners. In the days of endless rebrands, that meant you could get a fairly cheap card with performance just below it's far more expensive rebrand, in most cases.

Not a great loss, but will still be missed.

VTX3D? What's that? Never even heard about them... neighter seen any of their products never ever in any EU shops.

And my last ATi card also has Ruby on the box, by Gigabyte, HD 4850. Never had any AMD cards though.

never ever heard of them here in New Zealand but powercolour are a well known brand here

I remember watching Ruby videos on my ATI 9600XT they should have made a game with her in it
