be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for ten consecutive years, introduces the new SilentWings 3. The third generation of this proven fan has been revised and now offers even higher performance than its predecessor. During development be quiet! also focused on a simplified, flexible installation. All these improvements make the SilentWings 3 the ideal choice for high-performance water and air-cooled systems.

be quiet! has invested much development time to create the latest version of the SilentWings fan. The goal was to improve the performance of the SilentWings 2 and to enable a wider range of uses. The seven revised and optimized fan blades create an excellent airflow. The funnel-shaped design of the rubberized frame allows greatly increased throughput. These improvements result in an extremely high static pressure, which makes the SilentWings 3 the perfect fan for radiators, heatsinks, and computer cases.

Minimum noise at maximum power
Despite its high performance, the SilentWings 3 from be quiet! is almost inaudibly quiet: the 120-millimeter variant produces a sound level of 16.4 decibels, while the 140 mm model produces only 15.5 decibels. The highly efficient, three-phase 6-pole fan motor and the rubberized frame contribute positively to this: both parts reduce vibrations to a possible minimum. In addition, the advanced, high-quality IC motor control effectively prevents electrical interference.

New anti-vibrations installation system
For the SilentWings 3, be quiet! has also developed a new installation system. The system doesn't just feature special anti-vibration properties, but also allows for an easier assembly. Thus the SilentWings 3 can be mounted to coolers, radiators and to corresponding fan mounts in a PC case. Compared to its predecessor, the modular corners of the frame can be exchanged easier. Two included sets lead to a higher flexibility during installation.

Long lifespan and different variants
To make the SilentWings 3 into an absolute high-end product, be quiet! utilizes an advanced fluid-dynamic bearing with a brass core. The combined technology in this fan allows a lifespan of 300,000 hours. This applies to all four variants of the two available sizes (120 and 140 millimeters): be quiet! offers the SilentWings 3 in a 3-pin and PWM variant, and these are both also available as High-Speed editions.

The SilentWings 3 fan is available today. The 120 mm variant is priced at $21.90 / £18.99 / €22.50 while the 140 mm variant will cost $22.90 / £19.99 / €23.50.

k....what else is there?

Finally i can change my NF-F12's.

Must admit that I'm a big Be Quiet fanboy

These mounts are really a huge improvement over the last gen with the plastic push pins.

really like this company 's products.

looking at pics "2200 rpm" then "1600 rpm"... reading the article:"....140 mm model produces only 15.5 decibels" - I was like "OMG, OMG, OMG - a 1600rpm, possibly even 2200 rpm fan at 15.5 dba (inaudible - even if you stick your ear to it)". immediately I jump to producers home page in anticipation... and there I see - 1600rpm model (3-pin model) at 28.1 dba - and other is the PWN model rated for 15.5 dba - at 1000 rpm - so yea - not even a thinny progress here... thx for rebranding silent wings 2

The specs are accurate. They are talking about regular models, not high speed ones (which you were looking at).

BeQuiet really has top products, it's just funny I haven't really noticed them till half a year ago when their DarkPower PSU came into my narrow selection range. Then I realized they also make excellent fans and their CPU coolers and cases aren't bad either.

Expensive

which makes the SilentWings 3 the perfect fan for radiators
But that frame is not going to create a good seal causing air leaks. I wonder how long we have to endure these "air pressure" fans with rounded frames. Atleast EK, Noctua and Fractal have their fan frames correct for radiator usage.

Noiseblocker have been doing this for years

They look like the well regarded Cougar fans, even down to the bearing type that's used. Wonder if they use the same ODM?

I would like the see the PWM range. The minimums is very important too.

Everything about BQ is indie. That's why i personally love them. They put TONS of attention to detail (like a German company should). If they were sold here, every fan i would ever use would be a BQ one

I'm still Noiseblocker fan, but BeQuiet convinced me with their products as well.
