NVIDIA Announces the GeForce GTX 10 Series for Notebooks

I think highest TDP for mobile graphics cards is 100w.
How do they want to keep the system cool
With a 180w gpu

Well I'm not quite sure what mxm-sig spec says, but most power hungry mxm cards are 200W.

The higher-power cards are oversized to fit in more VRMs, and then the cooling is similarly increased in capacity on the laptops they go into. Hopefully these'll get properly standardized into the spec soon and Dell/Alienware goes MXM again (they switched to soldered with the Skylake refresh).

Ahh that explains a lot. Was stumbled why there weren't any alienwares on these gtx10 -series news, nor their site.

Just got an email from an online computer store in my area, 15.6" laptop is $2,999 with a 1070.
The 17" laptop with 1070 is $3,599 :banghead: (Australian prices)

I believe that the 10 series in laptops is a bit overkill and pointless.

1060 "3GB" version would be perfect for HD laptop.
