Hello everyone

i am asking help to find over kill gaming monitor, i have Asus ROG swift with 27" tn 144hz 1ms 2k gsync this one

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MSOND8C/?tag=tec06d-20

and want to upgrade with something have those specification:

- curved monitor, better it will be over 30" like 35", 144hz and above, 4K display resolution if the rest spec. found np if 2k, IPS panel, better with Gsync cuz i using Nvidia Gpu now, less than 5 ms response time.

i find some acer predator's but still don't have them all, maybe i miss one and you will help me with that.

thanks a lot dears

Sorry... is there anything better than the ROG Swift? That isn't IPS?

You will not find 4K over 60Hz at this time, so that is out...

Acer predator perhaps?

Acer Predator X34
fits up to your mentioned specs. Also is curved with 34" screen, but on the pricey side at around $1300.

Make sure you really, I mean REALLY want a curved monitor. They demand a premium price for no better "quality" image. They have a pinpoint viewing angle and optimal viewer distance. This means for the best view, you have to keep your head almost frozen in the exact right position. This may be fine when relaxing and watching a movie but do you sit still while playing a game? And if ever there is more than one person viewing, forgetaboutit!

There are many curved monitor buyers who, once the "novelty" wore off and they are finally being honest with themselves, wish they bought 2 (or 3) nice traditional top quality monitors instead.

This is just one of several similar articles out there raising the same doubts.

Please link that. The reason you can't find any monitors that match your specs is because they dont exist. 4k @ 60hz is the max possible with displayport 1.2. Its a bandwidth limit and you cant "oc" around it.

Your card supports DP 1.3, but the monitors just arent here yet.

As for response time, look into reviews on that one. Those numbers are almost never accurate (some 1ms panels will get beaten by 5ms pannels)
And remember, that is Pixel response time and Not input lag. Your pixel response time could be a true 1ms, but if the panel has terrible input lag it wont matter.

Response times that are listed on spec sheets are pixel response times (how fast can any given pixel change) its an important spec, but it's not the same as input lag (the amount of time it takes the monitor to register input such as mouse movement or typing etc.)
Input lag is almost never listed in any spec sheet. Most gaming monitors have input lag within acceptable margins, but a few dont. For extremely fast paced or twitchy games this can be a deal breaker.

A 5ms response time is theoretically fine. But looking at reviews will tell you if its actually fine or not (manufacturers fudge this number a lot)

thanks that's interesting i understand now, so i was know the the response time is the idea of input lag, now it's clear. so bad input lag=blur with fast movement in games am i right ?

Or it might be more subtle, it might feel like you have a high ping even when you dont. Just a tiny delay in everything you do.
