At CES 2017, AMD made a statement on their new AM4's platform readiness to market, revealing some of the upcoming AM4 motherboard designs coming to end users for their Ryzen CPUs and Bristol Ridge. All in all, there were sixteen boards being displayed from the major manufacturers, including overclocking and gaming-oriented models. These boards will be the base for system integrator PC designs to come, with at least seventeen SIs coming on board for today's announcement.

Motherboards for the 300-series chipsets, which includes A320, B350 and X370, will come in standard motherboard sizes (mITX, mATX and ATX), and the designs will feature technologies including dual channel DDR4, support for NVMe drives via M.2/U.2 or PCIe, native support for USB 3.1 10 Gbps connectivity (as well as the new USB 3.1 front panel interface seen on some motherboards already), and PCIe 3.0 from the processor for external graphics or other PCIe co-processors.

The motherboards being announced are:
  • ASRock X370 Taichi
  • ASRock X370 Gaming K4
  • ASRock AB350 Gaming K4
  • ASRock A320M Pro 4
  • ASUS B350M-C
  • Biostar X370GT7
  • Biostar X350GT5
  • Biostar X350GT3
  • GIGABYTE AX370-Gaming K5
  • GIGABYTE AX370-Gaming 5
  • GIGABYTE AB350-Gaming 3
  • GIGABYTE A320M-HD3
  • MSI X370 XPower Gaming Titanium
  • MSI B350 Tomahawk
  • MSI B350M Mortar
  • MSI A320M Pro-VD

The announcement comes mere hours before AMD's ve.ga site and expected architecture reveal goes online. We'll have to wait and see, but the prospect of seeing a rebirth of sorts for the company with both a new CPU line (Ryzen), a new, up-to-date platform (AM4) and a new, high-performance graphics architecture (Vega) has all the ingredients for a hype train lunging full-steam ahead. After Intel's (in my opinion) disappointingly conservative 7000 line of CPU's, the ball is on AMD's court for some innovation and awe-inducing reveals. Let's just hope this one doesn't derail.

GG Asus, only one board..

It's so odd to see that AM4 socket on these new boards. I got so used to Intel's bracket that this is refreshing.

Also, I love that Dark Gray/Teal color combo on the Biostar board, just that Vivid LED DJ (what a dumb name) ruins it.

GG Asus, only one board..

And they don't even have a 370 board, which is the higher chipset. Maybe they are still working on it.

GG Asus, only one board..
Just look at any current Intel based boards and X370 will be exact same looking boards except for different socket. Hence probably just 1-2 boards being brought to show also many will be work in progress right now.

AMD, High performance enthusiast class iTX MoBos or GTFO!!!

Searching YT for everything AM4/X370 @ CES 2017 related, so far found a few vids, 6 or 7 methink. AMD's twitch.tv channel busy gaming in The Sims 3 or 4, don't really care, virgo4u hosting it. lol You guys do CES 2017 coverage @ your YT channel? All the 4 top ones look solid with exception of color schemes (ASRock, MSI). Me want the AM4 variant of either ROG Maximus IX Code or Maximus IX Formula (later preferred cause of EKWB written all-over it, namely VRMs & chipset). One can dream, right? :)
