Every time I see "dual" I think "Darn, they finally crammed two GPU's on one PCB". And then it turns out to be nothing like that, just a dual fan graphic card. Ugh :/

Not even a backplate?

No backplate on the pictures on their website.

No, I've checked that as well.
It must be the first GTX1080 without a backplate then...

Of course not. Duals are palit's cheapest designs.

Well it's still a High-End card, cheap design or not.
And for it still to be high end you'd expect a backplate.

Yeah I'm not trying to argue with that. It's a cheap design something has to go, be it wise or not.

Cheapest gtx1080 in old continent now is kfa² gtx1080 EXOC in 599€ and it has backplate(that card vrm cooling does not look very good though). So if it's under that it might sell.

Isnt this out for like... half a year now?

Well not in my country, not the "Dual 1080", I can find "Dual" 1070, 1060 in my country though.

"which is the most advanced gaming GPU ever created"

that's easily debatable.
