Check the cables that came with your monitor, there's probably a displayport cable amongst them. I know my Asus PB258Q came with one, using it right now.

I always use the cables that come with the monitor. The last 2 came with a HDMI and a DP cable. cheap looking, plain black, no name cables, but working at 4K, including audio.

AmazonBasics branded display cables have always been a go-to for me. They're usually only a few bucks and pretty much guaranteed to meet standards.

I also have a local wholesale supplier where I buy cables from called CPC Farnell. They do like 100 HDMI cables for £1 each or something silly. You could see if you have a similar place nearby.

I just got a refund on an AmazonBasics USB2, 16' cable because the B end keeps falling out of my Blue Snowball. It literally wiggles around when plugged in too. The cable that came with the Blue Snowball is really snug. I tried another cable I had in a draw and it was almost as loose as AmazonBasics but not quite. I told them I could try to add tape to it to make it stick in there better. He went from refund + return to just refund so I can try that. It probably took an hour and using a piece of fiber board from a tissue box and electrical tape but I got it snug now.

I think I tried AmazonBasics HDMI cables and they're fine. Don't think I ever tried AmazonBasics DisplayPort.

What resolution do you plan on running through it? If you are the higher end of 4K (4096x2160, 60hz), or at 1440p at 144hz, you may find that some crap cables will lose signal and cause flicker as they are unable to deal with the bit-rate and introduce errors. If you are running, say 2560x1600 or 1080p at 60hz, then you can run pretty much any cable. Check this out, they have a list of cables certified to be up to snuff too.

Out of that list, I own, two cables:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0163LN18M/?tag=tec06d-20
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0098HW0EA/?tag=tec06d-20
And they work fine for 4K, 60hz without being horribly expensive.
