Fans at low speed

At low speeds I hear a ticking/clicky noise I kind of associate with the fan bearing. Are there any fans that owners use here that at completely, and I mean ear-next-to-fan completely silent at low speeds (400-500RPM)?

## Please don't suggest Noctua cos I've just removed the Noctua fans for the same reason.

Fans are used as intake from the bottom of the case.

Any recommendations based on experience?

Running fan horizontal is hard on the bearing. Also low speed on some pwm fan controllers will cause clicking.

I have been running some yate loon dual ball bearing fans for a long time horizontal without click, but they aren't truly silent. You could try some of the corsair mag lev fans maybe.

Hmmm, that might be it, how they are mounted. At low speeds fans are generally quiet but I'm very sensitive to noise when I need quiet to concentrate and that clicking does my head in. I'll have a look at the corsairs fans new tech.. Thanks

fractal fans are what i use to avoid the clicking - if you get their low speed models in the first place, their noise levels start out as quit as undervolted nexus fans.

I've got 4x fractals running in my R5 case right now, and its totally inaudible - when the PSU or GPU fans turn on they massively out-noise everything else.

Ended up buying the Corsair MagLev fans(basic, tired of RGBs lol), to try them out as I fear the usual fan bearings will fail eventually. The revered Noctua incPPCs failed too. They start out quiet and over time the grinding noise starts.
When idllin or doing light work, my rad fans turn off (top of case) and intake at bottom spin at around 400-500RPM for very quiet operation, can't stand the grinding noise.
