Looking for some good gaming wheel options for Project Cars. The game itself looks stunning with Vive, it is just the control with keyboards feel so awkward when playing inside of VR. Any good recommendations without breaking the bank? Also are used gaming wheels worth trying?

If I were you - I'd go used Logitech G25. Best wheel ever!

Want cheaper option - Logitech MOMO Racing Wheel. Bought that one for my brother a long time ago. Still in service, working like a champ after 9-10 years!
It is simpler than G25 and only has an up-down shifter. For VR it should do much better than G25, because all controls, and a stick are located on the wheel assembly (except pedals, of course).
The only thing that was amiss, is a clutch and a proper stick, but that's not critical in my opinion.
And pedals are a bit light and tend to slide on the carpet.

Try a G25 i have goten one second hand in 2007 using it since, only one time the shifter malfunctioned, as it would not couple 2nd gear, easy fix a wire was unsolderd. I estiamte that in that time i have put over 1000 hours of games like GTR, GTR2, GT Legends, Race, Richard Burns Rally, Project CARS and now DiRT Rally (~300 hours).

I have the Logitech g25 and is great for being a low budget wheel right now with the gear box with manual and sequentian setting but if you can spend a little bit , buy a Thrustmaster t500 and the gear box and you are ok .

Not new, used.
The "oldest" model that's currently in retail, is G27. It's probably someone pricejacking on Amazon some long-forgotten box from the storage closet.
It used to cost something like that ~8 years ago (or maybe even less).

A used G25 is definitely less than $100. You could probably get one in decent shape for $40-50, if you do some hunting on eBay, or ask people around here.
Pretty sure there will be someone here ,who either has outgrown the racing on PC, or wants to upgrade G25 to something newer.
Try and post [WTB] thread - I am sure you'll be able to find something decent.
