Someone want to take a gander on telling me what is the correct one ? LOL!
4.2Mhz? 4.199.96Mhz? 4.17Mhz? 4199.0Mhz? 4200.1Mhz?
I am totally baffled now and have no idea, what my actual overclock is!

Also is it Ghz or Mhz, I'm even more confused than ever especially with windows performance monitor!

I'm going to call this the (Overclockingaire), first one to give me an answer I can understand, wins a virtual biscuit!

You need to differentiate between the prefixes. It's the same results from all the programs.
There are variations in how fast they update and display the numbers.

Windows Task Manager is not very good with showing exact frequencies.

It's 4.2GHz (4200MHz). Sometimes programs report a little off because of minor fluctuations in clock speeds, it's normal and nothing to worry about.

I got the answers I wanted! perfect, so I am running at 4.2Ghz?! Great!
I've never bothered about this type of thing until today until i've actually paid a close attention and noticed such a thing, as they say "We learn something new everyday"

Thanks everyone, I will Thanks everyone's comment!

If it makes you feel any better, Windows think i'm running at 4000MHz, when instead i'm at 4500MHz :D

Trust CPUz/HWinfo, etc. and ignore whatever windows has to say.
(if you're ever -that- bored, you can find multiple similar instances through google [there's even a Microsoft "rep" claiming that it's a hardware error, lol, windows are fine..)

Thanks great to know, I will trust cpuz then as that's what I use and ha windows performance monitor seems so unreliable at times.

No it doesn't. It shows slight variations which is normal
That's what I meant variations / differences and as you and everyone pointed out its normal it's why I made the thread asking. Was confusing as heck to me ha but now I know :p

Pretty sure Windows reads, and reports the default programmed CPUID from the CPU.

Jokes aside, dont forget the difference between Hz, Mhz and Ghz (the capital letter matters too, unless you mean millihertz)

4200Mhz = 4.2GHz, otherwise people have covered why they all read slightly differently

i am concerned you couldnt tell the difference between 4.2 & 4200... (it's slightly more understandable that you dont know kilo/mega/giga/tera)

the small fluctuations are always happening, nothing runs at a perfect frequency, electricity isnt 'digital', it has to be turned on & off constantly within mili or nano seconds, pieces of metal cant be made to have perfectly straight frequency or voltage

windows reads what is written in the cpu, which is part of the model number basically, it's not actually measuring the frequency (& how can it? it would be idling at a low frequency, so you say put load on it, but it's going to have different boost frequencies, so why bother adding realtime measurement complexity to a model number reader that only differs when overclocked)

BCLK doesn't actually run at exact 100MHz, meaning as you multiply it with numbers you get funny values out of it. My 4.5GHz overclock is actually 4491 MHz (99.8 MHz x 45). But for the sake of easy numbers I just use 4.5 GHz. Programs round the numbers in a same way...

Meh my computer clocks also fluctuate wildly, (not refering to normal Speed Step clock variations)
