Edge is good at keeping its cache small. Nice! FF will be trying to use 1GB for what Edge does with a few Mb's....lol

Ugh, the "Health Report" keeps bitching about disabled drivers for Bluetooth and Webcam on my laptop with no way of turning this crap off or ignoring it. I know it's disabled, I've disabled it. Wtf. So stupid. Now I have to disable whole tray icon so it won't have that stupid yellow triangle there...

Well...I got screwed too. Should have went with my gut and held off as long as I could. But stupid me...I went ahead and did it. Now I've got a super slow system that takes forever to boot. It also killed ReadyBoost deader than shit. Not sure if that's why it's so much slower. I doubt it. But it really pisses me off that I can't make it work now. Even after doing what it says I'm supposed to do to make it work. Which itself doesn't work. As in starting superfetch. Nope. Not happening. Ran sfc and chkdsk...nothing wrong they can find or fix. Pretty much left with no options besides trying to recover back to the previous version. Which I've never had to do. Said it would be easy before I installed the creator's update. Part of the reason why I went ahead and did so. Then I get the process started and it says it's going to remove some programs and I should back everything up first before proceeding. What THE Fuck?! Are you serious? So I'm totally screwed then? GREAT!!! :banghead:

Edit: I know. I might not be totally screwed. Repairing with an iso should work(without removing any programs). But will it?

Only one way to find out. It has worked decently for me i the past, but a clean install is always better of course.

FILE Explorer /My PC right click Manage /Event Viewer/ Window Logs and Check System then Application Logs for errors during the time right before the crashing of the game. Post some screenies and we will take a look at it and see if something jumps out...try stacking the errors of both system and application logs for the screen-shots. Sounds like a DX11 issue to me though. You have two different PC systems with the same issue (at least in your first post it sounded like you do )

so we should be able to figure the issue out, but I do know that ATI and NVidia both have DX11 in common with the apps that are crashing on your PC's, so thats my hunch right off the bat.

PS. This section was probably not the best spot for these post though as it's the "News" section.

For me this happens when I run Crossfire, turning off Crossfire completely bypass the issue.

Yea, but hey! If it helps someone else the better right? Looks like it was the AMD Re-Live 17.4.1 Drivers causing the issues. Did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro Creators with the Media Creation Tool. Decided to try a previous AMD 17.3.2 drivers, and what do you know! It's working with much better results. All my games are alive again.

It's way faster in my desktop and laptop,
However my netbook lags considerably more compared to the Anniversary update, now any Metro apps, including start menu, lag beyond usable whereas before it was more smooth

MrGenius : my 5cents. Reinstall updating on top, it may solve things, before clean install (which is better of course...) But I have not the time to reinstall all my software.

Here, I cannot run 3D mark anymore. The endless "Scanning systemhardware" bug is back, the results are invalild also....

Same here but mine is because I have Sleep set to Off! Oh well I don't care too much about the yellow visual thingy! I'm already use to it from Defender telling me I have too scan my laptop every day and sometime more than every day lol so use to it already :( Also all yellows under "App and Browser Control" because I opted out of all that nonsense.

I should have jumped on the opportunity to recover to the previous version while I had the chance. Now it says I can't. It says the files required were removed. Even though they weren't. There's 3 Windows folders created yesterday(at the time I installed the CU) that are still there. Including Windows.old. I also downloaded an iso to do a repair with(media creation tool). And it won't let me do anything but a clean install. So I'm truly fucked at this point. Looks like I'll be stuck with this POS until the next cumulative update. Hoping that'll fix it. Because there's no way in hell I'm willing to lose almost a TB worth of programs, game saves, and whatever else doing a clean install. Sickening. Just makes me ill. I gonna go throw up now. FU M$!!!

I dont think it will help but did you try turning off Gaming mode which is on by default? Long shot but who knows.

Edit...it sounds like the update borked a driver somewhere.

I j ust noticed my Multifunction USB printer is gone (brother) and is not recognized. And some games are windowed regardless of your settings. May be is the game mode? ... Maybe more not so nice things appear. Just saying...

Printer: removed it from device manager (it was there but not in available printers in any program) then added it, then "updated drivers". and voila! But all my personalized printing profiles are gone... ok, Bill, hands up and turn over!

Edit: all the above is solved after updating nvidia drivers and re-adding printer.
On the good side is Edge with Flash blocker build in. Then, night mode is awesome for the eyes. And Cleartype and general text scale is very good.

Just go to updates and remove it

With the Creators Update which I was willing to deal with the new security visuals I was unwilling to see that my original Watchdog Timer Driver was unable to install its self after the update. Giving me a "Windows needs to restart to finish installing Watchdog Timer Driver" no matter how many times I rebooted or full shut down and start up I receive the message which to me is really an error message at this point so I used Windows "Go back to an earlier build" option and restored back to Anniversary Edition and no more Watchdog Timer Driver issues. I did however like the Creators Update and I'm bummed its not up to snuff for me! Oh well no harm or foul yet but if and when it forces the Creators option on me this is fixed!!!! PLEASE BE FIXED lol.

EDIT 1 Maybe Intel XTU had something to do with it but not sure and rolled back anyway.

Edit 2 I wonder if a Mod can move these Creator Update issues to a more proper spot other than News. ??

Well the "Go back to an earlier build" left my Netflix app nonfunctional and wiped out the Factory Roll back partition on my Laptops internal hard drive so even if I wanted to go back to it I can't now because its been replaced with the Creators partition for a back up (this is the new standard and no way to stop it) I was able to roll back to Anniversary but no way to save the original reinstall partition. I have now downloaded all my laptop drivers and software from the Asus website and will be reinstalling everything a fresh! Oh well all is good jeeepers! I will test the reinstall partition first to see if it is as I suspect..I did look at the recovery options and no more "Restore TO Factory option"....then its a reimage to Creators and when reinstalling my software I will stay aware of what causes the Original "Watchdog Timer Driver" issue. Just waiting for my 250GB WD black to finish formatting so i can port some stuff over first.

How to fix Windows 10 removing the control panel from your Power Menu. Credit to PC World for the directions.

Bring up the "Run" Prompt: Windows key + R. Enter or paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group2, and hit Enter.
Move the existing Control Panel icon to a separate folder on your desktop, "just in case".
Download the attached shortcut provided from Deskmodder.de
Extract the Control Panel icon and place it in the Winx folder.
Restart your computer, or right-click and restart the Windows Explorer process in Task Manager. (ctrl-shift-esc, scroll down the processes tab, and right click "Windows Explorer", restart. If you don't see the processes tab, click More Details).

Windows key + X or right click the windows icon for the start menu.
Profit.
