sleeving and EVGA cables

hello

just bought P2 850
i want to sleeve cabels but it has something like this

What is it, can I remove it or maybe I can revese it so this could be on the PSU side and not on the VGA or MB side?

please advise me in this topic

cant imagine this looking good next to my beautiful sleeved cables

in 8+6 its also there, other PSUs dont have it so it makes me wonder...

DO NOT REMOVE. It is for ripple suppression.

They are there to lower voltage ripple, all the superflower based models have them

Personally i wouldnt remove them, they are not spending extra putting them there for nothing, but its not that much of a difference, cablemods make kits for these psu's without them

If i were looking to do modded cables i'dd use a seasonic or other good oem built unit that dosent use inline caps in the first place

I know this is a bit ghetto, but maybe try this. Sleeve the cables as you normally would. Then once the GPU leads are connected to the video card, bend the wires for the cap under the cables and use a zip-tie to hide the cap under the wires?
