Someone got lucky with an early purchase of an MSI Radeon RX 570 Gaming X graphics card, ahead of its April 18th launch, and wasted no time in posting pictures of it, before selling it off on eBay for $329. Pictures reveal the card to look not much different from the RX 470 Gaming X, given that it features the same TwinFrozr VI cooling solution. This particular card features 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. While the box doesn't reveal clock speeds, it highlights "3rd gen FinFET 14" technology, proving that AMD is building the RX 570 and RX 580 chips on a newer, more advanced 14 nm FinFET node than the one it built Polaris 10 "Ellesmere" on.

Yawn at these constant repeating comments, they're a rebadge, it's not a secret amd are trying to hide to screw people over....it's not an rx 470 replacement, shocking how so many supposed clever people can't grasp the simplest of concepts...

Of course the funniest part of this story is that someone was dumb enough to pay $330 for it on eBay.

They can get better PR, as 480 was harmed by throttling ref card (and not as mature drivers as 4 month down the road) quite a bit.

abuse of the consumers base
In what way is that an abuse?

early access, duh !

hahahaha, SOME people will pay practically anything for anything on ebay...

I just sold a couple of (used) things for over $300 each that have an average street price of ~$125 when new, imagine my surprise when I got that sold notice :)

I know, ATi with their Radeon 8000 series.

You mean: 8800Ultra - 9800gtx - 9800gtx+ - GTS250?
But I thought it was an nVidia card, like, say, these little guys:

GTX 650 (or 640 if DDR3) : GTX 740
GTX 680: GTX 770
GTX 660(OEM): GTX 760 192bit (OEM)
GTX 760 Ti (OEM): GTX 660ti.
GTX 730 128bit: GT430 128bit.

The worst part was, you could have picked different architecture, just cause the point of the rebrand was exactly to confuse you...

A lot of people here seem to miss that these card are going to be sold to non entusiasts as well that does not want to buy a used card. These are gonna place themselves around the price of a 1060 and be the NEW card. Its pretty logical marketing imo. Meanwhile people who bought a new TITAN X or 1080 at prices-value range WAAAY worse sit here and mock the 570/580 cards. Im not for for either AMD or NVIDIA but that is irony! :D

They're selling on ebay for stupid prices for now but that won't last long, I mean look at this guy unboxing his that he paid $375 for.

I know I wouldn't pay that much for it though,.
