NVIDIA today released an updated version of their GeForce graphics drivers, version 382.23 WHQL, which brings with it support for the company's GT 1030 entry-level graphics cards. Strangely, the drivers' supported products only register as the GT 1030 itself, which is a little unusual, to say the least.

Follow the link here to grab the drivers directly from NVIDIA. Note that since these drivers ONLY support NVIDIA's new GT 1030, you shouldn't upgrade to these if you have any other NVIDIA card. To download the drivers, you'll have to choose the GT 1030 from the drop-down menu on NVIDIA's site, as well as the proper OS version for your use case.

Anyone else reminded of the old Geforce MX line with the above pic?

Waiting eagerly for a full 1030 review which should include 4k and 8k bench results.

Will it be able to play Hello Kitty Online as well?

I need to slowly replace my GeForce 8400GS backup card with something a bit more modern. But then again, this thing cost 30€ back in the day. I don't think I'll get GT 1030 for that kind of money...

I used to use the 8400GS as well for my backup machine. But when time came to actually use it due to my main rig crapping out on me, I found it ran like shit so I bought a GT 440 instead. Pretty decent card, and you can get them dirt cheap these days.

I once used this 8400GS to play Half-Life 2 and Painkiller 1 when my main card crapped out. That was back in HD4850 era. It was ok-ish. Mine is passive so I overclocked the hell out of it by slamming a fan on the heatsink :D Needed to test something as my system is acting funny and 3DMark complained I don't have enough VRAM on 8400GS. It has 512MB lol...

Oh that pic, it's pic of geforce GT 630. If my memory serves me well, old geforces MXs were agp/pci era. None of them were build on pcie.

I said "reminded of." I didn't seriously think it was one. ;)
