Wow, talk about generic garbage... what's going on at Fractal?

They needed something in the sub-$60 range... doesn't looks that bad actually.

And not so good either... There's nothing about this case that says Fractal, it shouts ThermalTake to me...

Its a CHEAP case for the low end of the market. What did you expect? Fancy ass tempered glass and noise absorption materials?

Couple of days back they introduced AIO from Asstek and now this generic crappy case. Seriously what is wrong with Fractal? They could have just reused the tooling from one of their Define case to reduce cost and introduce a cheap case. Atleast Coolermaster had right idea with Masterbox Lite 5.

Not at all, but I didn't expect a generic case from Fractal either. Nothing about this design says Fractal.

I am with you here... they should have changed some parts to make it more distinctive... more... aesthetic Nordic minimalism... it doesn't mean always expensive...

Well I guess I can't argue with that lol it does look generic

What do you expect when all this crap is manufactured in Asia? There's only a slight margin for originality which rapidly blurs.
Look at motherboards, they're all the bloody same, straight from the same factories, only software differentiates.
Look at automobiles, do some of you remember when we could tell a make by the sound of the engine?

5.25" slots back, really fractal? :shadedshu:

This case says cost cutting, that is all.

Mind you, Fractal is a Swedish company and they have Swedish people involved in the design process, or at least used to. Been a few years since I've seen those guys though.

Well, I guess most expected the same Scandinavian design as the other case. This looks like garbage

moar same ole same same lame lame......

Your opinion and it's not shared by everyone.

I like these cases a lot. Very clean and stylish looks. Exceptionally functional design. Well done Fractal!

Yes, really. Thank You Fractal!

Nothing is wrong with them. They are listening to market demand instead of elitists[like you] and making products that lots of people want. If you don't like it, don't buy it. But insulting Fractal for listening to and making products for their larger audience says more about you than them. Their effort isn't just wise, but is also good business. Now if only we could get Microsoft to do the same..

This is not about being elitist. Fractal has had very distinct designs in the past, this is a huge step away from that.
It's like they've picked up a random case design and slapped their label on it. This is not how they used to make products.
Yes, they're trying to meet a price point, but no effort has gone into this case to make it fit with the rest of their product lines and I think this is why myself and others aren't particularly excited about it.

At the end of the day, each to their own and yes, it's my opinion and good for you that you like it.

How so? This fits in very nicely into their product line.

Um, ok. Are you seeing the same pictures I'm seeing?

I think everyone's idea of what Fractal is all about might be a bit askew. These cases look elegant, clean and stylish while at the same time having a ton features that matter within a price-point everyone can afford. This is a win for Fractal and everyone who loves their quality.

Indeed
Is it me, or does this look strikingly similar to to the Thermaltake Versa H35?

It kinda does. And that was a good case too. There are few differences though.
