Metro: Exodus Announced at Microsoft's XBOX E3 Presentation

I'd like a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. too.
Ain't gonna happen, with all the GSC controversy.
Half of their staff left after SoC and formed 4A games, while the rest split in 3 or 4 indie studios, leaving GSC practically non-existent.
The best you can get is either this, or abominable Survarium.
I'm still surprised Cossacks 3 came out at all.

I did not know that...it's sad

I've enjoyed this series and look forward to this game as well. Unfortunately, these releases always remind me of just how much I miss the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series which by the way was sandbox. It is nice to see this series moving in that direction.

Really, not much can top STALKER for open world RPG, still. Especially modded. The atmosphere is so intense!

Exactly my thoughts, every time Metro comes up. Would be nice to see what they think is "open world"...

Yeah, the best we can hope for on that side is crowdfunded mod, STALKER: Noises of the Zone, which released a gameplay video in April.

other than that, Metro series had the "feel" due to having half of former GSC staff.

This just reminded me that those games always had the only night which actually terrified me (ok, Dying Light too)! I hope the new Metro can capture that again. :D

That looks like one hell of a cash grab for a sneaky highschool kid.
Weather effects are just as good and tweakable in Call of Pripyat, and you can even achieve just as good or better effects in SoC with few third-party shaders and uptweaking game config.
The gameplay demo is basically a mosh of pre-existing assets, which he most likely used without authors permission.
Also, if by any miracle this thing even gets off the ground(with $200 committed out of $60,000 goal), he will get sued by a complete asshole Sergey Grigorovich.

Wow, LOL....where is the gamer in you gone?

The gamer in me is still alive and thriving.

It's just these projects never end well for 3 simple reasons:
1) Grigorovich still holds the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. IP
2) Cryengine EULA ~2.2
3) Simple healthy scepticism.

If it was a simple XRay-based mod without an active Indiegogo campaign or financial gain in mind, then maybe.
Asking $60,000 for porting STALKER CoP assets to CryEngine 3 (without permission of either party) is not a good start. Even by shady Ukrainian programmer standards.:pimp:

I could not be more excited!

This is one of the few (only?) dev houses that still pushes PC's like Crysis used to.
