I didnt notice during purchase that mobo can support only 2133 mhz so my ram cant run full power

From Asus' website:
"4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 2400/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture
"

How can I test if the problem is from the hard drive or ssd?
It's not. HDD Sentinel Can test your drives.

There is a possibility that your security software or any anti-cheat is trying too hard at times, leading to hangs at moments of importance (not necessarily "stress") in gaming.

Based on your system specs, your RAMs are DDR4. The system architecture is such that all RAMs should be operating at the same frequency. So both sticks are operating at 1000 MHz. Now since these are DDR (Double Data Rate), the effective frequency is 1000*2 (for DDR4) = 2000 MHz. Since you are saying your RAMs are rated at 2400 MHz, I believe something is wrong and the BIOS is not configured accordingly.
Enter BIOS and follow the instructions I gave you (open this page on your phone and follow step by step). I am sure you will be a able to rule out this potential issue.

EDIT: For 2400 MHz RAMs, CPU-Z should report the memory frequency as 1200 MHz. Setting the XMP should do everything for you automatically.
My friend is abroad. So i still couldnt update. It happened again today. I noticed that the flashing thing in my cpu case (you said hdd) stopped flashing during the freeze. What can I do? :(

Like @RCoon shows check Windows Event Viewer it's a log book for Windows and can tell you things that can be useful.

What anti-virus r u using? anything free and mby it has a game mode in it even so try to disable it while u game and see if the hanging stops if not then it's properly not caused by your anti-virus.

Are all drivers and Windows up-2-date? I personally have experienced issues with Windows 10 updates that's why I was using Windows 10 and then Anniversary Update not updating in between and even the first 3-5 updates after Anniversary made my network speeds go nuts using a secure vpn.

I am now running the Creator's Update for Windows 10 and still have Windows Update disabled and I doesn't have any issues at all.

Another note is if u don't want Microsoft to snoop around and Windows 10 to send out data run Spybot Anti-Beacon it's a free non-crapware tool to block a lot of things that make MS to allow to look and even but a lot of addresses and ip's into your host file to block things further.

Link: https://www.safer-networking.org/spybot-anti-beacon/

I also see u been "upgrading" to Windows 10 and that can cause some issues sometimes personally I upgraded from Windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Anniversary and now Creator's Update I have some programs that runs better than a freshly installed Windows 10 but that's old games and applications.

its either the board or the ram its self the timings are odd I would check and make sure that the blkclock is set to 100.00

none of the eventlogs posted are related to anything other then normal operation

The way I see it the OP is a bit panicky so is fearful of doing as requested or suggested. I suggest buying a laptop if he cant do basic functions. Updating is key part of maintaining a PC.

Lots of troubleshooting but I never noticed anyone saying 'start from scratch'.

Generally once you run out of easy options, you start excluding stuff to narrow it down.

Boot your PC with no GPU, just run off the CPU, one stick of RAM (write A and B on the heatspreaders so you can recognize them, if you must) and just the HDD with your Windows installation on it. Test games without GPU in it, see if you still have the problem then.

If that test succeeds, swap the RAM sticks (try stick B and remove A) and try again. If it fails, still swap the sticks and see if the other stick also gives you issues.

If that succeeds, add in the GPU. After that, add in sound card if you still use that.

The first time you come upon the issue again, start looking at the last component you added first. If the issue persists with both RAM stick A and B, I would suspect the motherboard and simply send it in.

It usually takes a day of playing to have the problem come out. The games that act up are games that are heavy. I have done a combined stress test (furmark and prime95 together and no problems with gpu and cpu) Is this enough to exclude them from possible problems? (I ran the test for about 10-15mins

Excluding only works if you really exclude things. So no it is not enough, merely an assumption.

Stop running Furmark, it won't do you much good. If a GPU is broken you notice this fast, not after a day. RAM and motherboard however can show up at any time and highly infrequent times too.

The only way to narrow it down is to physically narrow it down.

The problem is, the problem never comes up outside of games and if I were to exclude GPU, then it would be impossible for me to run the games. I also noticed that when game freezes, the hdd and ssd stop booting (the white flashing thing in my cpu case stops)

You have an i7 6700 so you can run off the IGP. It doesn't matter if you get low FPS - run a 'normal' benchmark such as Unigine Valley alongside P95 and have a go at it.

I can't believe a "windows tech" recommended an inplace upgrade. To resolve issues, I never recommend an inplace upgrade. Always a fresh load.
I agree, but to their defense, the reason they do that lately is most people still have their OS installed on the same partition as programs, and their latest OSes only keep those files on upgrades, vs fresh install. Seems to me they should be telling people to make a separate partition just for the OS and drivers, and the few other files that have to be installed on the C drive, like browsers. Even saying that is preventative vs real time support though.

Perhaps the motherboard bios, but i would suggest a clear cmos first.

Another thing, No gpu bios flash will fix it.

Forvthe Nvidia buffs, isn't there a ulps setting akin to amd but for nvidia?

Another thing, No gpu bios flash will fix it.

Forvthe Nvidia buffs, isn't there a ulps setting akin to amd but for nvidia?
Ill run a memtest, clear cmos and try to update mobo bios. If memtest shows even 1 error in ram is this likely the cause? Since freezing is occassional thus there could just be 1 wrong thing in ram. Is 1 error enough to request RMA?

I would test it at stock then enable the correct xmp and test again, if it messes up with xmp then id suggest fresh ram. Worst case is mobo, psu, gpu, cpu being borked

I think you should update BIOS first. It is definitely a hardware problem.
I updated my bios successfully, but the issue still happens. I brought it to the store but they couldnt replicate the issue. They say that it is possible that the PSU causes the freezing because it could be faulty. I tested my RAM with memtest86 and only ran for 1 pass which is successful

EDIT: Here is my AIDA64 SMART status. OS is installed in Samsung while games are in HDD
