AMD today released Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.1 drivers. Released for Windows 10 and Windows 7, these beta drivers add optimization for "Middle Earth: Shadow of War," and "Evil Within 2." The optimization includes Radeon Chill profiles, which tell the GPU exactly when to downclock, for the best thermals and power-usage, without sacrificing performance. The drivers also fix bezel-compensation application on mixed-mode Eyefinity setups, and rare flickering issues noticed with "DiRT 4" on certain multi-GPU setups. Grab the drivers from the links below.

Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.1 Highlights

Support For
  • Evil Within 2: Radeon Chill profile added
  • Middle Earth: Shadow of War: Radeon Chill profile added
Fixed Issues
  • Bezel compensation in mixed mode Eyefinity cannot be applied.
  • DiRT 4 may experience flickering tire graphics during gameplay or under certain terrain conditions when using Multi GPU enabled system configurations.
Known Issues
  • On Windows7 when using Radeon RX Vega series graphics in Multi GPU system configurations, users may experience a system hang or crash when upgrading their installation of Radeon Software. A work around is to do a clean install of Radeon Software.
  • Corruption may be experienced in Forza Motorsport 7 on some HDR displays with HDR enabled in game.
  • Unstable Radeon WattMan profiles may not be restored to default after a system hang. A workaround is to launch Radeon WattMan after reboot and restore settings to default.
  • Wattman may fail to apply user adjusted voltage values on certain configurations.
  • Radeon Settings may not populate game profiles after Radeon Software's initial install.
  • Overwatch may experience a random or intermittent hang on some system configurations.
  • GPU Scaling may fail to work on some DirectX11 applications.
  • Secondary displays may show corruption or green screen when the display/system enters sleep or hibernate with content playing.
  • When recording with Radeon ReLive on Radeon RX Vega Series graphics products GPU usage and clocks may remain in high states. A workaround is to disable and then re-enable Radeon ReLive.

So, pretty useless for me, again! I am still using the 17.9.2 because the 17.9.3 was equally useless. The software is so damn pain in the ass to install, I have decided to only update when it's actually worth it.

Uh how is it a pain exactly? It installs without any need for user input in a matter of minutes. You just have to restart once and hell, if that is such a hassle for you just install the damn driver before going to bed or sth lol

Love that they are pumping out beta's. that's good. features still buggy. but seems they have full attention , if there are 3 releases in 1 month.

going to test now!

Installs pretty next, next, next for me as well.
You guys must have the best luck as far as AMD drivers are concerned. If that makes you fall from the sky, just google a bit, or even check out the news about a few of the previous drivers right here at TPU.

All set. Just because drivers are installing as they should doesn't have to mean we are living in the sky my friend. You could just as easily google "car trouble" or "world is going to end" and find the same static as googling "drivers won't install".

That's not exactly what I said. Well, if you don't want to understand, none can make you.

Took just 1 minute to install at my end. Works perfect all the time. Just reporting

Well it’s been awhile but it did reset all my desktop icons( I keep my apps on the left and games on the right) it’s minor annoyance I’ve dealt with quite a bit with some earlier Crimsons so I was mildly aggravated it’s happened again.

I've installed em, they worked.
I've done it 7 times THIS month.

Vega sucked horsecock on 17.9.1-17.9.2 (hw accel chrome issue) but that issue is fixed so no outstanding issues for me.

Wow. Some brains you guys have. Taking trolling to the next level. Trying to discredit a well known self-admitted fuck up by AMD by saying that YOU did not have the problem and that the rest of the millions of users are idiots. Well, keep trolling.

So reporting everything working fine at our end is trolling ? Never knew this...

Meanwhile you want everyone to just whine but never report back when it works ? Nice logic you got there, (IBM error ?? o_O )

That a brand new gpu have issues, cause I have never experienced it on Nvidia or Intel ?
No, never - HAH, for legacy gpu's I rarely have issues and definitely not a whole lot more than Intel and Nvidia.
I've owned 50 nvidia and Amd\ati cards and the days of 2009 drivers are gone..

Another topic we can discuss is the performance improvements are usually later with Amd while Nvidia does performance once and is done with it - That is the main difference.
Amd have some slick features like Chill and Enhanced sync which is a Pro of AMD drivers.

You need to start stamping and kicking around too.

And to be less offtopic, I remember ONE case of not being able to install AMD driver that wasn't caused by PEBKAC. It was a year ago or something, when the installer simply didn't detect my card. It got fixed one or two versions later.
Other than that, I had no problems installing the drivers since 2003 (that's when I bought my first... ATI? card and for whatever reason didn't try Nvidia again).

I'm sorry, but I couldn't find anything about installation issues that may be even remotely as widespread as you claim. If you could point me in the right direction - cool, otherwise... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Feel free to pat yourselves on the back for being such Einsteins in "clicking next next". I'm just a noob. Mercy!

I'm sorry you're unable to click on a button.

Now, could a moderator show the guy the door out before it gets out of hand?

Cleanup done, reply bans issued, carry on.
