Maybe just maybe deep learning had something to do with the awful prices, apart from the dreaded miners of course.
Otherwise for off-die memory, the processor has 32GB of HBM2 (4 8-Hi 1GB stacks) on the shared interposer, resulting in 8 terabits/s of access bandwidth.

Just like Google's TPU v2 this thing's goobling up HBM en masse, not unlike big Pascal or Volta, I bet HBM is gonna be in short supply for the next few years :shadedshu:

Neither you can get Vega 56 for 450$, right? :) Anyways, my point was that GTX1070 is a better product (IMO) than Vega 56 and cost less without any super discounts and rebates.

Personally, I think their both great products, and I've owned both a 1070 and 1060 6gb. I just won't shell out a $200+ premium for gsync.

Down volt overclock and you hardly even hear the fan.. I've got 2 as well and your right, they're really acceptable for noise when tuned right ;)
Exactly what I did.

Also now a drop in the Vega 64, nothing under $600 last week IIRC

Well, I don’t care about G/FreeSync at all.

For CSGO vsync disabled since I don’t see any tearing in this game, for Arma/PUBG i use Fast Sync and for slow paced games just nornal vsync.

Not going to spend even 1 extra euro for anything with “G-Sync/FreeSync”.
