EA Forces Shut-Down of Fan-Run Servers for no Longer Supported Battlefield Games

Unfortunately, the servers have been pretty dead for a while. Tribes 1 and 2 will forever be in my memories. RIP amazing MP games.

Yep it was great. Tribes 2 is the best game I have ever played.

EA where to start.

They have killed so many good games and studios.

Broken and complety farked games like CNC cnc 4 :S ?
You need to be on good drugs to find this fun.
Can wait for CNC the second decade ....

EA seem to buy studios then break then and ruin the games.

Exactly what i wanted to say....I just wish Bioware never joined them.
I will add the minimal close to zero support and the fact they don't care about cheaters ruining their games.
Battlefront and Battlefield series are FULL of cheaters.

A total waste of money.

every popular game is loaded with cheaters and trolls...your point? CS, HL, tribes, BF, COD, all of them. No anti cheat tech works (well).

Allow me to go way (waaaay) off topic and just say it's a cultural problem. It'll never be solved technically.

I'd love to know how prominent cheating is a Confucian culture (but Japan doesn't seem big on FPSes, I think). Or any culture with dads who knock the crap out of their boys, so they become real men as they grow up.

The next best thing is private servers, where there are enough players and peer pressure to knock people around themselves.
