Strangely enough in the US Bear is also commonly used as the current tense of "bore" as in "The CPU bore a lot of load" for past tense, and "The CPU is bearing a lot of load". So the original usage seems grammatically correct to me, and to many US users. However this is becoming unbearable to continue to discuss, other than I would like to add, Fuck Ubisoft in their asses till they die.

It isn't even that. The reality is, the issue would have to be so bad, that it would make people that pirate the game suddenly think it is worth buying the game to fix.

How about an incentive ... something like free DLC that works only with patched executable.

Learn what? That the more DRM they put into their games, the more money they make?

They're not in the business of getting nice comments on random internet forums, they're in the business of making money. If people keep buying their stuff, they'll keep making it.

I'd imagine they make less actually because there are a lot of people getting frustrated with this DRM.

Actually it is in fact "bear", which means to carry, which is where "supply bearers" comes from. So in this case, it means all the market can carry, hold, or withstand.

That can work, but it isn't likely to get pirates to spend $60 on a game, IMO. If they do something like Doom did, then there is a chance. They released all the DLC for free as well as all the modes, they basically just completely unlocked the game, and then started selling it for $30. That probably pulled a few pirates over to buying the game. Lowing the price to $20 during the Steam sales probably pulled a few more too.

Why don't they follow CD RED philosophy (I imagine because their games suck so if you download it to try it, you won't buy it afterwards).

Anyway, I boycotted UBISOFT and EA GAMES long time ago.

Well that's really good example of sensible management, the one who understands they peddle goods that have no limit in stocking, so the unit price matter much less than with physical goods.

I can't remember if the problem of my fans getting loud was before I bought AC:O or not. This might explain the excessive fan noise, but the fans would probably still spin down when I quit the game. I have noticed an awful lot of CPU usage, though.

Dropped Ubisoft back in 2014 after baying and heck preorder Far Cry 4 to much disapoint ment. Ran like shit. ghosting, lag spikes and at times crashed. And i can see that they havent change a dam bit since then. I am not gonna getting this game or Far Cry 5 for that matter. Ubisoft can suck it.

Just to clarify: Assassin's Creed: Origins isn't cracked yet !! also if it is cracked the frames will not be better as the crack only bypass the protection not remove it, in both cases the paying costumers are the ones that taking the hit and that's what you get for supporting such company .

I own 380 games on Steam, 42 on Origin and 92 on GoG and i'm glad there is not a single title i am interested from Ubisoft for a Decade.

How can they get away with doing an ASSassin's Creed every year or two? don't people get tired of that franchise? they been doing the same crap with FarCry. Damn, i played the first and second and i can't go back for another, and Uplay bleh!!

I like the Assassin's Creed games primarily for the settings, not for the gameplay. I'm a big fan of pirate games, so Black Flag and Rogue are big winners for me; and I also love ancient Egypt, so Origins is also on my list of must-play titles.

Actually, it being at the time of Julius Caesar, the Egyptians were still using Greek tactics, Greek weaponry, and Greek Naval ships and tactics. Roman biremes and trireme were only slightly improved versions of the excellent Greek design.

Egypt at this time was at the end of the house of Ptolemy. Ptolemaic Egypt was founded by Ptolemy as part of the 3 way split hundreds of years prior of Alexander's empire.

Couldn't agree more. Pirates are going to pirate. No one can ever completely stop it. But you can make your paying customers happy by not irritating, annoying them, or making them feel like criminals.

Same here, unless it's on GOG. And to be fair, there are a few really good EA games there, like Crysis and it's addons. Now if they'd only do the Command & Conquer series..
