Google Chrome's Integrated AdBlocker to Go Live on February 15th

Google image stunt...& ad competition nightmare...for sure they'll be sued for blocking clean paid ads others than theirs..

i use ABP(chrome+firefox) and quite happy with it even is not blocking 100% ...

Well here's a thought...lets just design ALL browsers to block ALL ads by default, but make it user-configurable if someone should decide they want to see a particular ad or type of ads.....

I am also mostly satisfied with APB and Disconnect....

Brilliant. But how does the browser decide what's an ad and what isn't?

Still not giving up uBlock Origin. ANd if Google somehow finds a way to drop adblockers from the store because they will offer similar integrated functionality I guess I'll just have to drop Chrome. Then again I'm already half way to using Firefox anyway.

Goodness gracious, if they can find a way to block ads, surely they know what is and what is not an ad...

But that's the whole thing: ads change and evolve all the time to bypass blockers. It's not as easy as block i_am_an_ad.com and be done with it.
