OCZ Technology Group today released PC2-6400 2GB SODIMM modules, a high-speed addition to their line of premium laptop upgrade memory. These performance memory modules are built to handle the powerful processors and other high-end components of enthusiast and professional notebooks, as well as mainstream consumers looking to add value and performance to their systems.

Upgrade RAM is crucial for notebook PCs running Windows Vista, as it uses a large amount of memory. The new OCZ PC2-6400 2GB and 4GB kit upgrades offer the ultimate balance of speed and capacity. Even working with another operating system, the everyday consumer using their laptop for picture editing, music, and videos can benefit from having this substantial boost in storage and performance.

"Laptops are becoming a major factor in workstations and gaming rigs with more powerful processors, and processors that need to access more data in shorter time," commented Dr. Michael Schuette, VP of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "System memory is the fastest storage medium for data in any computer system. Higher capacity RAM can be used to largely bypass hard disc accesses for scratch and page files, and this dramatically speeds up the operation of any computer system. The new 800MHz line of 2GB SODIMMs or 4GB kits push laptops to the limit of any 32-bit operating system to unleash their maximum performance."

These modules are priced aggressively for enthusiasts or everyday consumers using their laptops for gaming, high-performance software, and intense applications. They will be available in 2GB modules and 4GB (2x2GB) kits rated to run 5-5-5 timings for exceptional system performance. PC2-6400 SODIMMs are built to provide optimal levels of compatibility using the highest quality components and testing available.

Each module comes backed with industry-leading technical support and the OCZ Lifetime Warranty, ensuring complete product satisfaction for unparalleled peace of mind.

Im just happy to see high performance memory for the laptop market. Especially with the increasing popularity with gaming notebooks (and the price!)
