GIGABYTE Intros Aorus P7 RGB Gaming Mousepad

GIGABYTE today rolled out the Aorus branded P7 RGB gaming mousepad. Like most firm elevated mousepads that have RGB lighting, the P7 RGB features silicone RGB LED diffusers lining the perimeter. There's also an RGB LED illuminated Aorus logo up top. The mousepad connects to your PC over USB, with a micro-USB connector at the pad, and a conventional type-A connector on the other end of a 2-meter long cable. GIGABYTE RGB Fusion software controls lighting. As a mousepad itself, the Aorus P7 RGB features a 350 mm x 240 mm (WxD) surface, with a slight elevation of 4.6 mm. The surface is a hard micro-texture polymer, with low friction, optimized for both laser and optical sensors. At 420 g, it isn't light, though. The company didn't reveal pricing.

The only thing is RGB fusion absolutely stinks. Always buggy, the current version wont let the pc sleep.

My problem with GB's software is that the CPU usage is alarmingly high.

I would always get "This driver can't release to failure!" whenever I opened something.
It really just keeps getting worse and worse every year.

this one looks exactly like Corsair's MM800 RGB Polaris mouse mat... too bad the software isn't as flexible or stable like Corsair's iCUE.

I don't really like the bump on it. I feel like they could have made that section further out if they needed space for other components before the pad part.

Shhh, don't give them any more ideas. We already have enough RGB as it is. If this trend keeps up, we'll soon enough have RGB bezels around our monitors like Christmas.

Asus Aura also showed too high cpu usage (7%), so it's instantly uninstalled. Since then I don't care about the RGB's, they're just on in whatever setting.

I can't believe that RGB needs more than 4 lines of code...
