AMD today rolled out the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin. Version 18.7.1 drivers come with optimization for "Earthfall," with up to 28 percent more performance measured on Radeon RX Vega 56 and up to 28 percent more performance to be had on the RX 580 8 GB, at 1440; and up to 27 percent higher performance measured at 1080p, on the RX 560 4 GB.

The drivers also address a number of bugs, including random crash noticed in "Fortnite Season 5," when rendering throwing stars. Flickering noticed on "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice" has been fixed. The drivers also fix a bug of not all compatible display modes appearing in Windows; slower than expected performance in Corel Draw, and black screen noticed during boot on displays connected via DisplayPort. A bug with memory clocks remaining high (i.e. not spooling down at lower power states), when changing resolutions or refresh-rates, has also been fixed.

The change-log follows.

Support For
Earthfall
  • Up to 28% faster performance using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.7.1 on the Radeon RX Vega 56 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 at 2560x1440 (1440p).
  • Up to 22% faster performance using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.7.1 on the Radeon RX 580 (8GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 at 2560x1440 (1440p).
  • Up to 27% faster performance using Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.7.1 on the Radeon RX 560 (4GB) graphics card than with Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.6.1 at 1920x1080 (1080p).
Fixed Issues
  • Fortnite Season 5 may experience an application hang on some Radeon graphics products when throwing stars are visible on screen.
  • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice may experience flickering or corruption on some Radeon graphics products.
  • Display modes may sometimes appear as not available when setting resolution or refresh rates of a display.
  • CorelDraw may experience slower than expected performance.
  • Memory clocks may remain at higher than expected values on some displays after changing resolution or refresh rates.
  • Some displays may exhibit black screen flickering when booting to desktop when using DisplayPort.

Watch out for the telemetry option being auto-selected by default on this one when installing. Prior to these drivers it was not(box was unchecked by default).

Mr Genius :slap:

Remember Nvidia slipped it in without anybody knowing?
You own a Vega so you would be smart and click the box to send info to help the driver team.. remember AMD doesn't have a huge driver team like the green team does. That's where Vanguard comes in to help.. Wanna join and put you 2 cents in? I can make it happen :toast:

Now to all AMD card owners I recommend you click the box, Why you ask?
Well let me enlighten you all what it actually sends.

-No personal info at all is sent, only AMD driver info is sent that's all.
-It only checks what you use like... does this user use wattman? Does this user use Re-live? or do they use and save gaming profiles ect ect.
-you all get the point right..

All Im saying is it isn't spying on you. It only gathers info on what settings and preferences the end user uses on THE ADRENLIN Drivers, and then once compiled they now have an Idea what needs work and what can be chopped ;)

There's a folder that's made up and basically it sends the info once and that's it, till you install another driver and same thing happens.

Also the EU is right, it's not checked by default.. for the rest of you if it isn't checked means you already have checked the box on a earlier driver, @AlienIsGOD that's what happened in your case :respect:

You can ask @AlienIsGOD or @FordGT90Concept or @MrSnowmobiling and @INSTG8R they'll be glad to shed the light on it as well.

If you do a clean install, it will be checked. If you're updating drivers and it finds what that setting was set to last time setup was run, it preserves that state.

It is unchecked by default for EU users.

Here's what they collect: https://www.amd.com/en/corporate/amd-user-experience

Honestly I would happily click that. They don't collect personal info. They actually use this to improve the drivers. Just because I know AMD doesn't have that big of a driver team, I would want them to have the driver info and etc to help improve the drivers.

at least AMD is better than *ahem* u know who... xD

LOL.

I gladly accept it, if this will help improve the drivers.

Let's see how it goes XD .
I hope they release a new one when MHW comes out.

Thanks guys for the support!
It's only going to help AMD bring better performance to the table with newer drivers :toast::lovetpu:
