Mad Catz Global Limited, the new owners of the legendary hardware brand, today announced that it has sold its TRITTON gaming audio brand, to Silkysea International Limited, a company based in California, USA. The assets sold by Mad Catz Global Limited includes specified trademarks valid in the USA, China, Hong Kong and Russia.

Lucian Lu, Executive Board of Directors for Mad Catz Global Limited commented, "Since announcing the return of the Mad Catz brand in January 2018, we have been overwhelmed with support from retail, distributors and the gaming community. We remain highly focused on exceeding expectations for the brand, and look forward to the imminent shipping of our first line of new Mad Catz products. As we put our combined efforts into growing the Mad Catz brand, we are pleased to find a buyer who can devote the time and resources needed to see the TRITTON line flourish and wish Silkysea International every good luck with their future TRITTON endevours."

Does that brand hold any value? I mean Saitek was a good sale and glad it was bought by Logitech so it was saved but I don’t think Tritons holds any weight.

Cats have nine lives, so we've got some revivals left in the tank.

They'll need it, at this rate.

More like Logitech will pull a EA and cannibalize and them like the latter does w/game companies. I'd have rather it gotten sold to another company it would have stood a chance where as Logitech just wants to control the IP and maybe incorporate 1 or 2 of them that pairs well w/their own. I see this purchase as more of a control scheme one less rival to worry about and patents others can't use.

Too bad you’re wrong and they are supporting existing Saitek product like my X52 Pro including new drivers...

I'll call it early and say Mad Catz wont be around long this time.
They will cannibalize the company leaving it a shell.
