In another delay to NVIDIA's RTX 20-series launch, the company has announced, via email to buyers, that delivery and availability of the graphics card has been pushed for one week. The card, which had an already delayed release schedule set to September 27th, now has a delivery date that's set between the 5th and 9th of October.

It seems that US customers will receive their cards closer to October 5th, via an express delivery mechanism, while customers in other parts of the world (example, as per the source, in Germany) will receive them within the 5th-9th timeframe, which could be mirrored in other markets. Online retailers seem to have no indication as to when exactly will the RTX 2080 Ti be made available, with no set delivery/stock dates having been confirmed until now. What exactly is causing the delay is unknown at this point.

I bet it was a flood

Jensen's tears

Naw..... just holding off as all those 300k+ 1080ti's start to clear the channels in the wake of "poor reviews".

Well that sucks, I pre-ordered a EVGA 2080 Ti from NewEgg and got an email last week saying they would not get their inventory until September 27th. Hopefully tomorrow is still on track, I'll post if I get another update from NewEgg.

Some stock just went live for purchase, as in actually in stock, in Australia.

Hopefully Nvidia aren't taking a page out of the Samsung/Micron/Hynix book of business tricks and withholding stock for the extra munnies.

Quick: now's the time to save more money by buying more of these great cards.

Buy now and save enough to buy an Intel i9-7980XE: you cannot pass up this great deal ...

It's not at all unknown.
It's the same problem they had with the Fermi series (when they had to show a FAKE card to the official presentation). Too big die surface to make enough fully functional cards. Therefore, they prefer disabling the bad clusters and making more non-Ti cards. Cost reduction at maximum. To spawn enough Ti's on the market they 1st have to manufacture enough overall to actually get more functional dies. So there will be plenty of 2080s but very few 2080Tis for a while. They also have to reserve the top ones for a different market segment (the quadros).

NewEgg charged my credit card this morning and just got my tracking number for my 2080 Ti so it should be here tomorrow. FYI I ordered the EVGA 2080 Ti XC GAMING.
