Not quite much had been shown for Battlefield V single-player mode, but EA and DICE have finally released the first trailer that allows us to take a sneak peak at the promising "War Stories" missions. The game will not feature a classic single player mode with a long story focused on one character. Instead, it will include four different missions that bring us to different locations and characters. Those will make us familiarize with several scenarios, weapons and vehicles in the game.

The missions take place in locations such as Nordlys, where we will have to resist German occupation in Norway. There's another mission where we will have to sabotage behind enemy lines as an unlikely English soldier. Tiralleur is the third single-player War Story, and will follow the Senegalese units of the French Colonial Forces, while the last mission (available in December) is called The Last Tiger and will make us join the crew of a Tiger I as they question why they fight. Battlefield V is out worldwide November 20 after the announced delay a few weeks ago.

Think i'll give this one a miss. I liked BF games for their historical accuracy but it seems like that's been thrown out the window. Plus this just looks like a re-skinned BF1 and i already have that game.

Spot on imo

Dice really makes some awesome trailers, but a long time player since 1942, I'm going to skip this one. The beta was awful and this is not the game series I started playing so many years ago.

You liked BF games for their historical accuracy? Because of all those BF games set in the past? I guess you mean games like:

BF1? Definitely accurate:
BF Hardline? Not even accurate in modern terms.
BF4? Wait. No. That's modern. And the last DLC had freaking hover tanks and railguns.
BF3? Nope. Also modern.
Bad Company 2 then? No again. Though shout out to the Vietnam DLC.
Maybe Bad Company? Damn...guess not.
Definitely BF2142. That's not even close.
Must be BF2. Nope.
So we're back to BF Vietnam and BF1942

Look, I get that you may not like BFV because they're telling untold stories from the war and maybe they're stories you're unfamiliar with, but let's all stop pretending that the BF franchise has some sort of long and storied legacy of maintaining historical accuracy when most of their games have been set in the present or near future and even those set in the past have played with timelines and the like.

That being said, I'm with you on it looking like a BF1 re-skin. I usually get BF games at launch but this is the first time I'll be waiting for a sale just to play the single player. I'm still burnt out on WW2 from the early 00's and I really wanted a modern BF. I do like that the gunplay takes a lot more skill compared to BF1 but I really, really didn't want to go back to WW2.

Lol at those 'firemen'.

Topic is about single-player not MP you nub.

Wow, the cinematic trailer here knocked it out of the park. Not going to comment on the game itself but whoever produced the trailer is going places.

Too much negros, lesbians and feminists per square pixel.
Tired of this “make us whole” bullshit

And I’ll pass.

If you want historical accuracy, read or watch a 10 part documentary series like me (actually watch dozens of 10 part series :p).

This is like a rite of passage. You're officially an old fart once you find yourself doing this.

I never thought the series offered anything for story. The first few were great though, because other multiplayer games didn't have such large player limits and space as these did.

This could had been a masterpiece but DICE went for disappointment . To me BF3 will remain the pinnacle of BF series , everything that came afterwards has simply not been up to the task not only this but the more time goes the more BF is loosing it's identity .
