Man, lots of device envy in this thread. If you are judging someone based on what kind of phone they use then you are a terrible person. Especially if you cannot fathom why they would use it or see their side of things. You are going to see lots of software/hardware companies lobbying against any changes that forces them to open up their development environment. They as money making entities want to protect their IP. Makes sense.

Well there can be a lot of elitism by people who use more expensive stuff, to me a phone is just a phone, makes calls and texts just as well as a £1000 phone does.
only difference to me is, one one cost £20 and the other cost £1000.
I would always choose to save £980, no shame in that, but some people will just want to gloat and take the p!ss out of someone who uses a £20 phone.
