Yea this is some new thing to push Nvidia... Even Steve Burk (gamersnexus) had some "fluff piece" about building a $750 Fortnite Cyber Monday PC. The back-bone article was touting the one-day deal for an EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6Gb that was like $210. He used the 06G-P4-6163-KR (1835 MHz Boost) for the testing, but in the article talks more about the "pricing" of the more pedestrian 1709Mhz boost cards... like oh you'd get similar performance from any low cost deals.

The thing was Steve gives the impression that a GTX 1060 is better than competing cards in his tests (although no data) that are ran on the "EPIC" setting which turns on Grass... and performance is squashed but Nvidia less. Most players turn-off "Grass" as it improves FpS and makes it easier to see opponents. While I can't find anything specific that says Epic Games "Grass" is based on Nvidia Turf effects, but I believe Nvidia is sponsoring the game title.

I know right? The other day I saw an Xbox one box copy of fortnight ?!?! WTF?! What meathead is paying for free games.

Apparently they offer paid versions of the game, so children can have different dresses and skirts to wear in game
