AMD Readies Radeon Adrenalin 2019 Edition, You Can Talk to Your Graphics Card

As someone who have never previously used nvidia GPU, or in other words, someone who have only used ATi/AMD GPU for the past 15 years, I am more than qualified to voice my experience for ATi/AMD both hardware and software.

https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/i-did-it-after-15yrs-of-only-buying-team-red-gpu.248165/

If I only had a FuryX for AMD GPU then yeah I would be biased. However this is not just 1 GPU gen, but 15years of ATi/AMD GPU experience talking.

Back to topic.

GCN must die. David Wang and his team better work their ass off to get the new GPU design ready.
The topic/Op was a driver release, ease the tension bro in time the pain fades.
Oh and i respect your opinion but pushing your point so hard with proof you complained on here about your issues ,in this thread, i was here i don't recall doubting you then but the nature of your fury after many good years and a few bad is excessive imho.

you think Nvidia need you drumming their sales?

Pretty sure given his experience we can rule out "shill" and go with "genuine advice" for his motivating factor.

It was not "good years" as I had many many issues right from the launch. I was simply fed up with RTG's inability to solve problem for its paying customers as well as the disappointment of lack of proper support. I gave them TONS of time and opportunity to work on it. I had email communication with Matt from RTG driver team trying to resolve random VR downclocking issue for close to 6 months without result. I had the AIO pump failed on me right out of warranty.

Too many times to count. Every single time AMD/RTG had a chance to make me feel confident in their product but most of the time they blew it. My GPU had pump whine (https://www.techpowerup.com/213993/amd-revises-pump-block-design-for-radeon-r9-fury-x?cp=2) and mine was affected. Being I just bought the card and I asked for a cross-shipping replacement and Sapphire and later AMD bascially just told me to take a hike. Too many times to count and everyone has their limits of blow off. I would have gotten a 1080Ti last year if there were no mining craze.

Some of the RTG fan base is pretty toxic. Any thing that does not praise the lord and savior of RTG gets attacked and branded as "shills" right away.

I miss ATi, not the RTG it is today.

thats an opinion not calling anyone anything is it?

simple truth is I have had just as bad an experience with products, i can relate,,i wont name brands but i have had a fair few Gpus go south over the years and many that were total shit sold as stardust to begin with as have many others here we dont pop up to be so aggresively neg at such times , you wont even use the driver , your on Gtx so your essentially just pissing at amd users shouting theirs are shit and your happy now, Go you.

Meh.

Can we cut the crap?

I will add my own experience given I had to RMA a ryzen for the "performance marginality issue" in Linux.
They cross-shipped to me overnight shipping both ways. So they are capable of good customer service, even if only for when you are a member of the press. Wish they'd offer that kind of support to everyone frankly.

It's just like MSI afterburner , it does not support every card made ,Ab has good support but not perfect.
No software company can make tuning software that works on every card since some AIB's, create/ add a feature, like 0rpm fans or on start fan reverse cleaning that uses different control hardware, be realistic ,its mostly supporting reference designs as others do, or their own designs in the case of asus gpu tool, msi Ab and the many others.

The funny thing is that the Box my gpu came in has MSI Afterburner written in Large letters lots of stuff about it which I find a bit funny :)

After owning an msi rx 390 gaming I know what you mean , but it's still not AMDs fault or their driver team, I don't buy MSI GPUs anymore.

And programmers have what to do with making new cards? I think you won the "stupidest of the class" award.
Just saying that they are using resources that should be placed elsewhere.

Programmers do NOT do hardware design. You CANNOT relocate a programmer to do something completely different.
Do you understand?

Yes, I do. You can relocate money though.

But can it show my RX 570 as an actual RX 570 not an RX 580?

Everyone in China is asking the same question.
Actually I've a real Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 not an RX 580 2048SP, but the newer drivers is identifying it as an RX 580! when I've rolled back to a random old driver it's been detected as an RX 570!
Do you think they've modified the drivers so it can detect the 2048SP version (((which is just an RX 570 after all))) as a real RX 580? :o

So another company that can store your voice data like amazon alexa, apple siri and hey google eh?
Don't check the box during install that asks to send information to AMD. With that unchecked, drivers send nothing to AMD that isn't required for operation.

Further, the voice commands are 100% local. Disconnect from the internet and it will still work.
