RGB LEDs are a thing of the past - why would you settle for that limited 16.7 billion colors when you can have those colors actually forming images? That seems to be the thought process behind Colorful's new RTX 2080 Ti RNG Edition, which brings to the table a full-color LCD display for that ultimate build peek (and pic) capability. This seems to be a very limited edition run for NVIDIA's (current; you know that will change) top of the line graphics card, and brings a new color scheme and detailing on just about every part of the graphics card.

Whether or not you can actually program what the embedded LCD display or if it's just running an animation loop isn't known for the moment, but the shroud design and stylized backplate should be enough to generate some "love it or hate it" divisions. 3x 8-pin power connectors, 3x fans and a 2.5-slot round out the usual design suspects, while display outputs are handled by 1x HDMI, 3x DisplayPort, and 1x Virtual Link connectors. There's even an OC button on the back of the graphics card for a quick OC should you feel the card isn't fast enough the first time you turn it on.

And yes, there seems to be a mistake on the render for the product box, but where exactly the mistake lies is unknown for now - but all this trouble for a "mere" 2070 doesn't seem to cut it. Buyers would be much more willing to pay the added premium of such an edition of a graphics card on NVIDIA's halo product, and not on the "midrange" contender.

I thought this was going to be the RNJesus +2 edition which has 5% chance to drop. Disappointed.

Yee haw maw, just what we need....moar bling bling zing zing, and yet ANUTHA reason to jack up the price even moar on an already seriously overpriced, overhyped same ole same same money-grabbin whore card for those who have moar money than brains :(

Jesus man you took all the thoughts out of my head and put it in to words.

The grill (right term?) seems quite restrictive for airflow.

Well, in reality this small OLED screen looks a bit underwhelming, but at least I can see an appeal and practical use for enthusiasts.
Shows temps, GPU/VMEM loads etc, and might even be hackable to display moar cool stuff.
BTW, presumably that thing also has an airflow temperature sensor under the shroud, like their Vulkan X.

Too bad it's about twice above my wallet capacity...

Well i guess Colorful are gonna have to fire their marketing team. Gamers hate RNG. That name is gonna make them wanna buy every other brand BUT theirs..

Now this is the card I expect colorful to make. Not my favorite color scheme but a cool looking card none the less.

I highly doubt it. Its not as if the surfaces are completely covered with mesh or something. Plenty of open spaces to pull/push air through.... The heatsink on the other hand i worry about because it seems similar to the one that came off my 1080Ti and that was terrible. Though since it seems to be 1.5 slot cooler, it might just be ok... The fans seem to be 'thicker' so there is more static pressure being pushed through the heatsink then the wimpy ones on my stock 1080Ti cooler.

Just for reference

:twitch: That is truly fugly.

RNG= random number generator? -> that's what my Warframe brain is associating with this abbreviation :D Card looks different though, I wouldn't say ugly.

RNG = there might be a GTS 450 under that shroud :)

But here it apparently means 'Royal Never Give.... Up?'

:wtf: Royal?

It is a video card. What makes you think it isn't being represented as such?

Yeah, that seems to be the case.

Its like some three year old heard his older brother while gaming and then went straight to Colorful marketing dept. And then got hired for shroud design too. Its hilarious if it wasn't such bad English. "Here, buy this 1300 dollar card made by dudes who can't spell, we even put 'MVP' and some other random words on it"

Name and features of this card make me ask important question: is this lcd display colorful?
