Antec Inc., the leading providers of high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself market, presents you the Prizm Cooling Matrix, an unconventional case fan with a single bracket, dual-fan housing and streamlined ARGB lighting strips. It is now commercially available at USD $69.99.

Prizm Cooling Matrix also won 2019 iF Design Award. Each year, the world's oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD. Prizm Cooling Matrix had passed a rigorous examination, standing out from more than thousands of products, and finally became one of the winners due to its innovative design and practical use.

Prizm Cooling Matrix is the first of its kind in the PC market. Unlike other conventional case fans, Prizm Cooling Matrix is completely innovative and unparalleled. With a single ARGB lighting bracket, dual-fan assembly and two 120 mm fans connected simultaneously, Prizm Cooling Matrix not only enhances the thermal performance of PC builds but also provides users a stunning visual feast. Combined with 240 mm radiators, Prizm Cooling Matrix can show you the brilliant cooling capability.

Covered a layer of aluminum alloys and embedded with ARGB Antec Logo on both sides, Prizm Cooling Matrix features two 11-blade fans, PWM control, and Fluid Dynamic Bearing Technology, providing stronger ventilation and highly extending its lifespan. The streamlined ARGB LED strips show off the unprecedented light effects, giving you the superior user experience.

Plus, Prizm Cooling Matrix is fully modular. It shortens the time of installation. The flat wire design also makes cable management easy. The package of Prizm Cooling Matrix comes with an addressable RGB LED controller. You can change the colors and lighting modes at will, and the last, you can also connect the Prizm Cooling Matrix with the motherboard to change the LED lighting and have them work in sync.

Is that for... AIO's or something?

At that price you can get 3x fans with RGB. So... *shrug* whyyy?

Sure they won't come with a controller, but you can deck out the case fully with that. And shortening the time of installation, how? If it doesn't just clip on or something and just uses screws, the time savings would be negligible.

If it's 20$ less than maybe it would make sense. Since you can buy decent 240mm AIOs that include fans already for around 70$.

Innovation?? = High pricing

I like it, but come on.

I like the idea actually - Reduce cable clutter by taking advantage of standardised fan spacing. Power two fans from one header and same for RGB.

Shame about the visual design - Antec really used to be a fantastic company but this looks pretty mid 2000's to me. I'd have much preferred it in flat black to silver, and with the outside edges being a reg'lar ol' 90 degrees instead of them trying to do this weird shrunken corners thing.

There's potential here I think, but the idea needs some refinement. First off, the idea allows for avoiding the current problem of an RGB triple rad needing 6 cables for fans - you could do all of that from just two headers instead. And for a radiator it's fine not to have individual PWM control of each fan because users would always match RPMs for a rad anyway.

Also lets say that what antec did was put the fans on like a small angle like this:

What they could do would be use a foam or rubber gasket to create a seal between the fan and the radiators and direct the airflow through the fins without there being a dead spot behind the fan motors. Potentially quite a good idea.

damn you can save 30 seconds and two screws, that's gonna be a game changer.

I can see this being handy with an Accelero S3

I was just asking myself, I know I have a box full of lighting up 120mm fans plus a variety of spliters/adapters but is there a way for me to blow $70 on the exact same thing?? Thanks Antec!

Make it $45 and I might think about it, but at $70, n O t h a p p e n i n.....

Its would nice if you can grt include bracket to mount this on pcie slot, like below gpu to improve air flow.

But now i dont see any reason overpay for two fans.

My guess is a rad fan. It could be used on a video card as well though.

They look more like airflow fans to me rather than SP optimised. But potato poh-tah-toh

This goes right up there in the same category as active RAM cooling. The pointless category.

Those were completely useless... This however has some use albeit situational. Price is a little ridiculous and there are definitely cheaper and better options out there but if you had to have it you can use it to cool all sorts of stuff... GPUs. VRMs, RAMs - skies the limit. With RAM coolers they were just one trick ponies Unless you modded them, you couldnt really use them for anything else.

Not a bad product, I just wish it looked good...

I could see it being useful if it were just a case for two standard fans. However, the fans look embedded.

This product has a lot of potential to simplify adding fans to a radiator, I see 3 and maybe 4 fan versions someday (120mm & 140mm). Having a single cable to power everything therefore reduced cable clutter which is good but the only downside i could see is that if one fan failed and then the whole unit is useless unless one manufacturer designs a way to swap fans if one is broken then yeah I know why buy one multi-fan unit if one fan could fail, then why not buy regular fans (argument starts here...) but this product has possibilities so don't dismiss it outright.

I find it funny that a person posting on a tech forum put more thought into this idea than the engineers at Antec did. @GlacierNine

So what is the use case for this? You put it up your ass so you can shit RGB?

70 bucks looks steep, but a pair of good aRGB fans doesn't cost much less. If they have comparable quality and CFM as Corsair's for example, price doesn't seem so outrageous all of a sudden. I personally am not a target for this one :)

oof anyone from Antec reading these comments is not having a good day lmao

While I myself like most of the commenters here would never buy this, I'm always happy to see innovation.

That being said I think the design could use an overhaul, as others mentioned a simpler design would be more appealing; perhaps something along the lines of EKWB's design language; perhaps just a simple rectangular design.

Also price could use an adjustment.

Maybe Noctua will have one by the time I have the money for a custom loop many years from now haha :)

I actually like the idea, but without a variety of sizes and lengths, its a bit of a non-starter.

Also, the fan performance themselves look a little bit shit on paper, so there's that as well.

My guess is a rad fan. It could be used on a video card as well though.

But then yoou may as well get one of ebay and it will have the bracket as well for only $15-$20

Wot ? Whether they have plasma engines with self-generation energy or something to cost so much ! The ordinary 2 cheap fens are fixed into one housing which actually reduces the price invested by 30% would like to sell ten times more expensive !:kookoo:Only to add color diodes, in that case, the number of them has decreased ! and has nothing to do with the function !Therefore it is well sold. some customers are really blind and with a lighted product ,they do not see how they are taken to the slaughterhouse .Well, sorry for the cruel expression, since the strain is full .
