Kanguru has been a no-show for the past year but from the looks of it the company has been quite busy. They just unveiled their latest Eco Drive line of power-saving external hard drives. From the specifications these external hard drives make use of three different power saving modes in order to reduce power consumption by up to 75% along with prolonging the Hard Drives Life. Finally this Eco Line is RoHS compliance and ranges from 80GB which costs $95 up to 750GB that costs $350.

Thing looks pretty spiffy.

One complaint I have about my acomdata firewire drive is...its always on unless I turn it off. Id like it to have some power saving feature built in...just so the light will turn off but the drive is still accessible.
