These things weigh 40lbs, dry. With all of my components and watercooling, mine tips the scales at 70lbs.

I dont see why it should be.
In theory it should be superior to C2D, as it is TRUE dual core.

"true" doesn't mean better in any way shape or form, really.

In technical terms its "better" because its a unified design.

Performance wise, is completely independent.

Last time i checked phenom was designed to be on par or even beat C2Ds by a small margin.....It was never designed to go up against Intels latest CPUs thus i think AMD will still be second...

Last time I checked, the current AM2 is already on par with the current C2Ds in their respective price brackets. Example, you take a stock 6000+ @ $169 USD as of July 21st and compare it to a stock E6600 @ $220 USD, both CPUs pretty much trade blows with eachother in benchmarks and real world applications but the 6000+ is at least $50 cheaper... With the new Intel price cuts about to go into effect shortly, the E6600 may or may not be much close in price to the 6000+ but that still dosen't change the fact that both CPUs are on par with eachother @ stock aka real world applications that your average user knows or cares about.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to clock for clock comparisons, not so much price.

I never heard of a single AMD Cpu to go up against C2Ds ( Not talking about the best AMD with the worst C2D ). Any benchmarks to prove this ? And again we aint talking about Price / Performance ratio but pure performance.

There are benchmarks around the internet where C2Ds get above ALL AMDs, even the latest FX so yes it doesnt apply when you have proof.
