That took a little while, but GIGABYTE has finally updated their lineup with an AMD RX 590 graphics card. Based on the 12 nm-revised Polaris 30 silicon with higher clocks than those that could be achieved by its 14 nm predecessors (already the RX 480 and RX 580 graphics cards), the GIGABYTE RX 590 Gaming rbings the already well-known 2304 Stream processors, and gets them to tick at 1560 MHz (against AMD's 1545 MHz reference). It's a usual GIGABYTE graphics card by all standards, with a dual-fan WindForce 2X cooling solution with fan-stop functionality.

It seems GIGABYTE finally went through some of that unsold RX inventory, and is now looking to keep the channel supplied until the next best thing from the red team makes its appearance (hopefully sooner rather than later.)

With its actual price i don't see point buying it i mean RX590 in general.

1660ti makes it obsolete.

Small typo: rbings

I like the consistency in design, nothing radical and it helps maintain brand image.

This. The release is dead on arrival really, and unsurprisingly because its just a very expensive OC.

Would be great if there was one AMD/Nvidia topic on TPU without the word fanboy in it, because this is objectively not a good deal, has nothing to do with camps.

That's good news to a degree. Also, I notice the 1X 8-pin and Gigabyte "usually" charges less than competitors.

GA cards from both camps are laughable at best.

Bottom bin pcbs and coolers.

I'll stay away from Gigabyte's cards from now on. Their Fan-Stop feature becomes extremely buggy and unstable under some circumstances, at least on all the 10 series cards I've had (and some 900 series cards, apparently?)

Not a good release since imo I believe the current market is calling for at least Vega 56 performance around $250. i.e. Solid 1440p gaming for under $300 which AMD thinks only needs to be a temporary solution with their 56 price drop. Good luck actually finding one at that price yet Newegg has multiple 1660 Ti at the announced MSRP. I'm an AMD fan(love my R5 1600) but the GPU situation is not looking very good for them right now.

Actually it is, cards prices being lower means more sold, especially after mining went bust (needs to stay that way indefinitely)

I must of missed where they said the price was lower than $279 MSRP of the RX 590. No, it is not a good release. Until I read something different, it is assumed retail price of around $279 at which point the 1660 cleans its clock in price/performance. I can find more 1660 Ti at msrp than I can find RX 590s, which a current look at newegg shows only 2 out of 9 below $279 compared to 5 1660s at msrp. I'm not seeing any real price drops on the RX 590 or Vega 56. Show me where I can find plenty of stock on RX 590s where they run between $220-$250 on average from week to week and I will believe lower prices are here.

Edit: Ahh, there we go. Downvote instead of providing real info. Great argument there, bud. More GPUs sold? For someone that posts so much here, it appears you missed an article from just a couple days ago and only one day after this article. GPU Shipments Down 2.65% From Last Quarter, 3.3% YoY. Yeah, you showed me.
