IMO they needed to make one for Apple phones. Most of Android phones have a slot for microSD.

Price i guess. Sandisk label USB2 products as USB 3 products all the time - they look like the USB 3 part they're supposed to be but run at USB 2 speeds. Those USB sticks are usually cheap.

^^2nd that^^ why didn't they just wait a few months & make their drives using the new standard, right ?

But OTOH, most drive mfgr's have just barely started making external SSD's with the new speeds/connectors, so flash drives will probably be the last to do so AGAIN

Depends of companies actually I own a ZTE one of the mid range model and has already the C connector

But it also has a microSD slot, doesn't?
All my Android phones have that, and makes this stick unnecessary.
Apple on the other hand... they don't have that luxury.

Yes I do but some phones are pain in the butt to remove the card. Mine is with a pin like the Iphones. Also always plugging the phone to transfer files its annoying. I see this as an advantage to transfer easily all your pictures/videos, music and documents. Plus if you have long travel its easier to just put many movies and tv shows on that gadget to watch them on the plane instead of loading the memory space in your phone or SD card.

My SD also comes out with a pin, same tray with the SIM, and I have filled it with Netflix movies when I travel. 128GB take a lot of shows. I don't know if Netflix would let you save on that device.
But... I can see some Android people using it.
However my point was that Apple users really could use this, because the have no other alternative.
