Newer monitors are thinner and lighter than ever before, so nearly any stand would be capable.

I've got a 24" acer predator and it's heavier,thicker and sturdier than two 27"s I have/had.
they're pushing cheap,flimsy stuff.thinner and lighter means they save money.
this stand is gonna be super bad on a 35" inch.
