HyperX at COMPUTEX 2019: New In-House Switches for Alloy Origins Mechanical Keyboard, Fury DDR4 RGB

HyperX at COMPUTEX 2019 announced they've developed new, in-house mechanical switches they'll start employing on their products. HyperX says these are rated for up to 80 million clicks, and that they're brighter than the competition's offerings due to their DIP design. The switches feature a 1.8 mm actuation point, and a short 3.8 mm travel.





The company also demonstrated their HyperX DDR4 RGB memory kits, which have software-controlled ARGB elements controlled by the company's new NGenuity software. Support is Plug and Play - no need for any additional cabling to power the RGB elements - and feature HyperX infrared Sync technology for perfect matching of colors in-between sticks.

Nice KB's, now if they could only make a wireless version, I would probably buy at least 1, more likely 3.....

I honestly can't trust that "80m clicks" coming from Kingston. Wouldn't even be surprised if those are just re-branded Kailh or Gateron.

They almost certainly are Kailh. Which is fine, but the fact that they have identical specs to one of theirs and they're well known for doing this with other companies, it's likely. Their claim on 1.8mm actuation making any difference is also silly. I am a keyboard nut and even I wouldn't notice that compared to standard 2mm.

I'm sure this is a good board this there is hardly enough new here compared to their last RGB.
