Introducing the new Super Flower Leadex III series - an updated range of fully modular 80Plus Gold rated power supplies featuring three-tier adaptive cooling, industry leading power efficiency and packing premium Japanese capacitors.

Built on the award winning Super Flower design, the Leadex III improves on previous generations by introducing two semi-passive cooling modes that can be activated when using it under low or medium loads. Energy efficient, with minimal noise and heat output the Leadex III offers a premium solution to powering your system.

Super Flower Leadex III features at a glance:
  • Fully modular 80Plus Gold certified PSU
  • Three tier cooling, including two semi-passive ECO modes
  • Quality 135mm fan with fluid dynamic bearings
  • Constructed with premium components and Japanese capacitors
  • Fully modular cable management
  • Seven-year manufacturer guarantee
  • Available in 550W - 850W

Three tier-cooling for quiet and efficient power delivery

The Leadex III comes fitted with a 135mm fan, complete with their fluid dynamic bearing technology, which helps to keep noise to a minimum. Even at low RPM however, fans are still audible, that's why the Leadex III employs three-tier adaptive cooling, with two semi-passive ECO modes that can be selected with the rear fan switch including:

ECO 0
Fans will run when temperatures are above 62°C, falling silent once temperatures are reduced to 53°C or less.

ECO 1
Fans will run at temperatures over 48°C, will fans running silent with running temperatures below 33°C.

Guaranteed 80Plus Gold rated efficiency of up to 92% under load
All Leadex III Gold power supplies are 80PLUS Gold certified and achieve a guaranteed efficiency rating of 90/92/89% when at loads of 20/50/100%.

In order to achieve the high efficiency rating, Super Flower opts for cutting-edge technology: the Leadex III platform uses LLC resonance conversion in the primary range and DC-DC downward conversion for the +3,3- and +5 Volt rails. This form of independent voltage regulation ensures that the output voltages always remain close to the setpoint, even under demanding test scenarios (e.g. asymmetrical load).

If required, the entire rated power can be called up as a +12 Volt voltage. In combination with the low residual ripple, Leadex III are therefore particularly suitable for demanding builds and overclocking projects.

Built and designed with only the most premium Japanese capacitors
Super Flower use only the best components for guaranteed quality, with Japanese 105 degree electrolytic capacitors found on their motherboards. This ensures protection against common faults found with cheaper components, such as capacitor leakage and results in an average operating life span that exceeds 100,000 hours.

As well as premium components, Super Flower Leadex III protects against Over- and Undervoltage (OVP, UVP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Overload (OPP), Overheating (OTP) and Overcurrent (OCP on the +3,3- and +5 Volt rails). The Leadex III automatically switches off in an emergency to protect your hardware from damage, which is why it comes with a full 7 year warranty as a reflection on it's industry leading build quality.

Avaliable for pre-order at Overclockers UK from £79.99.

this is what I always think of when I hear the name super flower

Just a seven year warranty with a semi-passive fan and gold efficiency and starts at 79 pounds ($99 US dollars). You can get a 650w focus plus or RMx with a ten year warranty for that.

I don't understand why these PSUs don't have automatic temperature sensing to control the fan being on or off, like pretty much every graphics card sold nowadays. A hardware switch is just another cost on the BOM and another component that can fail.

I mean, it is a preorder price (who preorders a PSU anyway though...). But yeah, not much can go up against Seasonic's monstrously good Focus platform and its equally good pricing. About the only interest I have in PSUs going forward (since OklahomaWolf stopped reviewing) is seeing what Seasonic does next - I'm hoping it's finally an affordable all-digital design.

I am honestly surprised SuperFlower hasn't countered Prime yet. Leadex is looking somewhat dated in the modern ultra-high-end market...

yep... between seagate and corsair titanium and platinum is affordable now... this is like 5 years too late superflower... no one cares about gold. especially since i can pay only $30 more for platinum and higher wattage.

I mean, there is a Titanium Leadex variant, but it isn't all that great vs the prime... and it costs more usually. Fail.

the 850w corsair titanium that just released this year goes on sale for $179.99 on regular basis... so i mean eh, nothing can compete with that nt even prime, scored a 9.5 overall on johnnyguru review.

I have a very good experience with Super Flower PSUs in the last 9 years and for what i know is one of the few PSU makers along with Seasonic, FSP and Sirtec.

EVGA G2s have an ECO mode that does exactly that and guess who the OEM is...

Do you know who makes the EVGA T2 1000w titanium? is it SuperFlower? its on sale for $$189 right now is why I ask. I am very tempted...

Assume you meant Seasonic and not Seagate
The new Corsair AX models by the way are rebrands of the Seasonic Prime Ultra

SuperFlower. Which isn't bad at all mind, just slightly behind "bleeding edge flagship." It's still a tier 1 supply.

Usually RX series supplies are made by CWT (Channelwell Technology). Not certain but suspect same here. They are a pretty good manufacturer, and certainly good when you buy their high end stuff (like that).

but they are considered tier 2 for this level of product? hmmm screw it im just gonna buy the t2 titanium, YOLO

I'd say they make some tier one stuff but it's hard to state if that one is without seeing a proper review.

The King is back.

Use the link provided to you... some effort please ;)

your link was to EVGA only, what does that have to do with corsair and seasonic?

That is why I said some effort. I hate to be an ass, but you still didn't even click on it apparently. Besides, all I had to do to find it was google for 5 seconds...

I just glanced at the link and it said EVGA so I didn't think twice about it, could have happened to anyone, but sure.
