Phanteks Announces Enthoo 719 Chassis

Oxidized, If you dont like the Luxe 2 dont buy it move on to something else. There are other chasis out there like Thermaltake 900 that also has a 5.25 cage right in the center of cube why dont you go and give them grief?

Read my comments at least. 5.25" are useless and should disappear end of story, you nostalgic can find other ways.

Ah - always lovely when ones' opinion is the only one that counts.

Not a matter of opinions here honestly, be real, seriously.

I have 3 chassis - out of those 2 are using the existing 5.25" slots - one I had to take the Dremel to as I did not have enough 5.25" slots :)

You seem to have a hate in for 5.25 bays. One thing a 5.25 bay can do is have 2 2.5 drives installed in the bay (Thermaltake Core X9) giving excellent cooling to your drives from the front fans. Someone already mentioned fan controllers as well and they look great in a case. There is also water cooling equipment you can install in a 5.25 bay. That is why companies like Phanteks offer this, they know that not everybody follows the crowd.

Good job, you could've replaced whatever you were using with a newer thing.

It's not hate, i've used 5.25" myself for years, to the point where it wasn't necessary anymore, because there are external peripherals which are just as good or better, without occupying useful space in a case when there can be another fan or something else, pretty much anything is more useful than any component which uses 5.25" slots honestly, and thank god it's being phased out since years now, and they're finally disappearing.
Also do you guys really want to keep this up? Seems kinda pointless, but suit yourself.

I want to agree with you but I cannot. the front of the case, especially the top is usually where the 5.25 bays used to go is just empty space in most modern cases. The only cases for your opinion are ones that are mesh so that air can come in. I see no sense in not having a 5.25 bay on a case that is covered anyway by a non mesh front panel. Are you telling me a product like this would not look cool.

It's not a matter of how it looks, which is exclusively subjective, it's a matter of the real use of it, nothing else, 5.25 are dead, and you people should stop treating them like it's a matter of choice, it's not, they're dead and most cases don't use it anymore, because they're not a good way to use space into cases, alpha cool has much better products than that garbage there, which is a waste of money and classic pump/reservoir combo are probably better anyway, and to my eyes even look better.

I am not going to debate this with you any longer your comment about this being garbage is totally false. If you have a water cooled AIO and know what you are doing a unit like the one I posted is perfect to get instant info on your water levels as most cables on AIOs are not clear as we all know they can lose liquid over time.

Never mind the fact of the HDD cages for RAIDS, etc.

I really wish they would make HDD cages that could accept 2 2.5 drives perpendicular. It is easily doable they just have ot add the mounting holes and make space for the power and SATA cable. Of course the case manufacturers are concentrating on RGB.

No like the removable HDD trays like what Thermaltake has on their Core Series.
Fractal Design used to do them on their chassis - they could be moved 90 degrees inside the chassis. Have you checked them?

Oxidized, I think you are missing the point here. You are arguing that 5.25 is dead and should just go away. Because it has no purpose. I personally use the Asus front base in the original Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and I love it.

Aside from one touch over clock without opening the case or an application it allows me to monitor CPU temps while gaming or using other software at a glance. Not to mention it just looks bad ass and that alone is a perfectly valid reason to still have them. Asthetics alone whether YOU think it's a valid reason or not is still a perfectly valid reason to still include them on it's own and a lot of people feel the way I do. Otherwise RGB wouldn't be a thing. I wish this case had a solution for my front base so I could get it right away.

As others in this thread have said, you don't like it, don't buy it. It comes down to personal choice and that choice should remain an option for all of us.
