Phanteks today announced the release of the P400A's high performance, all-metal mesh front panel. Due to the high demand for this panel from our original P400(S) customers, we have decided to have this available for purchase.

The panel will be a great upgrade to all original P400(S) owners looking to boost airflow and maximize cooling performance of their case. The P400A high airflow front panel is compatible with all P400(S) models and will be available in Black and White. Because of the slight difference between the P400A and P400(S) chassis, the front fan alignment is slightly off-center by 8 mm with the P400(S) chassis. Keep in mind that this only impacts the lighting effects when using RGB fans but not airflow performance.

  • Colors: Black / White
  • MSRP: $19.99
  • Availability: October 2019

Some time ago I was thinking why after-market with 3rd party front panels for popular cases never emerged.
Because all recent cases had one thing in common - choking front fans with solid front panel.

If small company would provided an alternative front panels for popular cases, it could be a sustainable business. Something like CableMod or Dbrand.

Making injection-molding molds (and other tooling) for the plastic frames would be extremely expensive compared to the sales numbers. Likely not a viable business. The original OEMs have the tooling already, so aftermarket 1st-party solutions like this is likely the only viable solution. Phanteks deserves some credit for actually doing it though.

Hm, not bad. I have a P400S on my HTPC, had to upgrade my gaming rig's case since P400(S) has a terrible airflow.
