The Annual Steam Winter Sale is on now thru January 2, 2020 at 10 am Pacific. In addition to finding massive savings on thousands of titles, gamers may earn Festivity Tokens when they shop on Steam and/or when they complete Holiday Quests. Earned Festivity Tokens may be spent in the Holiday Market, where players will find The Steam Winter Sale Coupon, new Chat Stickers, new Chat Room Effects, and more. The initial Holiday Quests are on now, with new Quests being added throughout the sale.

So many games, so little time

Its not winter without Steam winter sale and mandatory airing of "Home Alone" on any local TV known to mankind ;)

nothing i want :(

I feel like I'm getting old when they talk about coins and chat stickers etc...
Like is that part of a game? No, then why do I care?

I think the new system is preatty shit.

it's mostly made for the new generation of gamers that obsess over vanity and trivial, useless shit, and gladly spend money on said shit.
if you're about 30 years old then chances are you don't give a shit (I know I don't), because you were born in a timeline when games were about just that: games

there used to be flash sale where the games are cheaper by the end of the sale

That model was killed off by the refund system.

Grabbed Black Mesa for (20% off) $15.99 from the Steam Winter Sale, so awesome since I was right in the middle of the 1998 Half Life Chapter 8 - first time playthrough.

Which I grabbed from the Steam Fall Sale for 99cents. lol :)

Loving the Black Mesa updates so much.

Gonna play BM right up to exact saved position of 1998 HL, then not sure just what to do, continue the story in the original or remain in Black Mesa

Picked up Frostpunk and have been enjoying it for the last couple hours. How fitting, it's dropping to the mid-60's here in Florida. Really helping the immersion!

Nothing I'm interested in either.

Yeah, pretty much. Think I am OK with not knowing where Steamville is or WTH is going on with this page.

You don't, you shouldn't, and anyone who does will figure it out someday.

Don't worry. Its not a thing other than monetization.

I was hoping Shadowkeep would be cheaper but that's about it. But why do I have to jump through annoying hoops for a coupon? Ugh. I miss the flash sales...

Meanwhile, got a $10 coupon on Epic, bought Control for $30, got another $10 off and got Untitled Goose Game for $10 and got another $10 coupon though I'm not sure what I'll get now. Plus they're giving away a game a day until the end of the year. I'm old. Thanks for making things simple EGS.

So many fond memories of how the steam sales once were. Wallet damaging in fact, But now, pretty much pointless.

Am I the only one who misses the old-time Steam sales? With dailies, free games, etc...?

I think most do, you got legit all time lows. Unlike now. You get better prices on keysites (and i dont mean grey market) nowdays.

My buying would be:
- MHW Iceborn
- Darksiders Genesis
- Cat Quest Bundles
- A Hat in time

Origin and Epic Game Store have sales running right now

Origin

It's a longshot that you'll see this, but Green Man Gaming has Shadowkeep at about $18 right now.

Thanks. I was just about to grab it before I decided to look at reviews for it. Seems like it isn't as good as Forsaken (and is rather short). I think I may wait for it to drop a bit more. I still haven't even completed Forsaken (got hit with the Honeydew bug). But again, thanks for the heads up.

No worries! Do note that it also includes the season pass content from this year (Armoury, Drifter, etc) so if you're a lapsed player it'll bring you up to date with everything that has come out since Forsaken.
