Sharkoon Technologies is an international supplier of PC components and peripherals, offering performance at a reasonable price. Sharkoon presents the Light² 200, an ultra-lightweight gaming mouse of only 62 grams. The mouse has a precise sensor of up to 16,000 DPI, an extremely flexible cable and five mouse feet made of pure PTFE. The Light² 200 is therefore particularly suitable for PC games and applications that require fast and precise operation.

The Light² 200 has a honeycomb structure that extends over the sides, the bottom and the top cover of the mouse. This construction reduces the weight of the mouse to 62 grams, making it one of the lightest gaming mice available. In addition, it has five mouse feet made of pure PTFE as well as a flexible, textile braided cable.

Customizable Design
For visual variation, the housing of the Light² 200 has a modular design. The magnetically attached honeycombed top cover can be replaced with an alternative cover that has a closed structure, which makes the mouse only about 3 grams heavier. The mouse also comes with three additional interchangeable DPI buttons, which possess different sizes and colors. Both the scroll wheel and the rear of the mouse are equipped with RGB lighting, which can be altered with choice of various colors and effects.

High Resolution Sensor and Omron Switches
The Light² 200 uses an optical PixArt 3389 sensor with a resolution of up to 16,000 DPI. The DPI can be adapted in seven steps to suit different requirements and situations. The gaming mouse has six programmable buttons, the left and right mouse buttons being equipped with Omron switches for a lifespan of up to 20 million clicks.

Freely Configurable with Software
A variety of further settings for the Light² 200 are possible via the downloadable software found on the Sharkoon website. With this, the button assignments of the mouse can be modified as desired, including macros which can be recorded through the software and then assigned to any button. Furthermore, the lighting, DPI levels and other options are configurable with the software.

Price and Availability
The Light² 200 ultra-lightweight gaming mouse is now available at a suggested retail price of 49.99 euros.

As a cat owner, this would be a nightmare. Already get enough fluff in the sensor hole from time to time, this would just make the mouse useless...

I haven't bought a gaming mouse in forever (Still using a G302 from 6 years ago)

IIRC for every good "gaming" mouse on the market back then with a 1:1 sensor and no jitter/lag/snap issues, there were also three garbage ones with a bad sensor, bad firmware, or both.

Price seemed to have no bearing on which mice were garbage. It had to be either a Pixart PMW336x sensor, or an Avago AN010 I think. Optical, not laser - because laser mice are (were?) all utterly inconsistent junk.

So, is the gaming mouse market still littered with pretenders at all price ranges, or 6 years on, have gaming mice sensors evolved to the point that you can buy anything and it'll be a 1:1 flawless sensor?

Really glad to see the increasing trend in ultra light gaming mice with this design scheme. The next thing I hope to see is wireless mice being the norm.

A lot of people put this type of mouse in a case or pouch when not in use. Also I think the switches are mostly covered. It’s the pcb you’d have to worry about if you spill liquid on it or something.

You both should open your own company and make the "perfect" mouse where dust can't get in nor cat hair.

From looks personaly I like how the mouse looks. Is this a good mouse brand, I don't know.

Why? I just need to clean out the strands of hair when it happens, it takes all of two seconds. That thing on the other hand...
