NVIDIA rolled out the GeForce software 445.78 Hotfix drivers. Hotfixes are released to expeditiously correct glaring bugs with GeForce software. The 445.78 Hotfix corrects a bug that causes some DirectX 11 games to fail to launch when Image Sharpening is globally enabled from the NVIDIA Control Panel. The drivers are otherwise identical to GeForce 445.75 software released earlier this week. Grab the drivers from the link below.

I really dont understand this, its like...do games just ship with crappy textures or something? why does it look vague by default and need some sharpening from a videocard?

Some developer decided to add post processing anti-aliasing built in game you can’t turn it off by yourself, this causes some blurring on the object, hence you need image sharpening if you can’t stand the blurriness.

In the era of temporal AA solutions it's almost a must have. Seems a lot of developers lack common sense when it comes to matters of image quality and FOV

Except that is how things are supposed to look. Real life imagery isn't supposed to be "sharp", just look at a photo taken by your phone, nothing is perfectly sharp.

Sharpening an image doesn't add detail, it actually removes low frequency detail. It's an illusion , just how increasing the saturation of an image is perceived as "better looking".

It's not supposed to look like you forgot to bring your glasses. You think evething sharp is over-sharpening, it's not. Blurry and oversharpened are both negative. There's a a fine balance.
